Joseph

More and more were coming. More and more took over. We were losing. It was a fact. Yet both rouges and pack members kept fighting. "Joseph!" I ducked again stabbing the vampire down. My attacks were getting sloppier and sloppier as I got tired. I turned and looked at my brother, blood was still running down his chest.

"We can't kill them all. It's too much!" From behind him he almost got attacked but successfully sensed it, swinging the stake behind him, killing that one.

"What do you propose we do, the sun isn't coming up anytime soon and the blood moon isn't going away either" someone had fallen right in front of me, his neck being torn out. One of them grabbed at my arms the one that had just taken down a rouge, pounced on me. I kicked and jolted trying to get out of their grasp.

It felt like slow motion. As one of them held me down, the other got ahold of my arm biting into it. My eyes widen as I used my other arm to stab him to get off. I kicked that one off, Jonathan grabbing the one at my feet and ending him as well. I fell to my knees out of breathe. "Did you get bit?" I stared at my arm, there was a bite there. It was a clear bite. I covered it anyways.

"No I'm fine. We have to keep going" he helped me up there automatically staring up.

"We need Mason to get back here" he said suddenly. I looked at him in confusion.

"He has no control over his actions! It will be suicide to bring him back"

"What difference does it make? We are going to die anyway. We have one shot at this and then we are done. We can forget about the werewolf race" I stared out to the battlefield. My brother was crazy. It's not like I'm going to be here to see it. I shook my head.

"Fine. How do we get into contact with him? He's miles out probably" my brother then without another word started to run to the underground area.

It was now the waiting game. My water already broke. I'm just waiting now. Waiting and waiting for the contractions to start. Emerald was patiently waiting by the door. No scratch that she was pacing. Nervously going back and forth. She seemed to be talking to herself. I just couldn't pay attention to what she was saying. I didn't even talk to Syra. She still wasn't here. Still. I missed her.

I missed her like I missed him. I think I could still feel her. Almost like I can feel her pain without him here. It felt cold. This empty void. It got me nervous. Nervous that something was completely wrong.

Emeralds attention then snapped to the door. I suppose someone was knocking on it. When she opened it both Joseph and Jonathan stumbled in. My eyes widen at the sight of them. Both had scars running down them, blood dripping from both their chest.

"How far is she in?"

"They shouldn't be long now. Why?"

"We need Mason to come back. It's our only chance to win"

"How do you propose we do that?"

"I hate to say this but don't give her anything to help with the pain. Nothing. Nothing at all" I tired to get his attention but none of them were paying attention to me.

"Are you crazy? Just to bring him back? Child birth could kill her. Two children makes those chances even higher!" She spat back. I looked at the desk throwing the tissue box at them. They all turned to me.

"*Ill do it. I can handle it*" I'm assuming one of them translated.

"Are you crazy? Your going to die!"

"*Think about it. If he can get here in time, he will be able to get to me. You say the pain goes away right? Then after he can help fight.*"

Emerald shook her head. "I can't allow it. I just can't. It's too risky"

"How do we get him here then?" Emerald mumbled something.

"Your crazy" Jonathan snapped.

"No I've been alive for too long. I also have some unfinished business. If I fail then do what you must." She then went over to me. Gently as a mother would she caressed my cheek moving my hair from out of my face. "If anything happens be strong for your pups. You will remember that will you?"

I nodded my eyes pleading her not to go. "Tell my boy I love him. I'm proud of what he has become. I am so proud of him" she meant it. She did. I then took her hand.

"*^Thank you for being a mother to me when my mom wasn't there^*" she let go of my hand. Getting out my grip. Her eyes narrowed at the boys, she grabbed her cloth from off the desk, expertly wrapping it around her eyes.

"Well. Lead the way. Joseph I want you to stay here. Your done for today" I think her tone gave a warning. Her head went down, what was she looking at? He fidgeted about to say something but she shut him down quickly. She whispered something to him. He nodded, Jonathan following her out.

When Joseph came back he had bandages going across his forearm. He looked paler than usual. Sweat was streaming down his face, he was a wreck.

"*What happened to you?*"

"Oh you know. The casual poison from a bite no biggy. It's out because it was only a nibble" my eyes narrowed at him. He wanted to go out there again. He scratched the back of his head nervously, sitting down on the chair.

Then time went by. I don't know how much time, I wasn't focused. Joseph was now next to the bed. His hand had then touched mine, I think to comfort me. He pulled back his hand as if he touched fire. His eyes widen.

"Oh shit. I'm getting a doctor" as he booked it out of the room then pain came making me scream.
