*Kitties beware*

Mason

"I don't think that's possible" Joseph gave me a dumbfounded look.

"Family is supposed to stick together. Always and forever" I felt myself growl. He didn't get it. My eyes began to sting as I felt Caleb make himself present.

In that they do...

What the hell are you talking about?

Nothing that concerns you Mason you got other things to worry about. Where's Kamali?

She went to talk to her dad I think. I do believe she had a plan.

"Mason. Mason" he snapped his fingers in front of my face. I snapped out of it but I still couldn't help but wonder. "Your eyes were changing man. Are you alright?" I blinked a few times, allowing myself to relax.

"I just...my mind is in a different place right now. I apologize" Jonathan and Joseph both gave me mirroring looks. They looked nothing alike, almost as if they weren't brothers. Yet their expressions were reflections to each other. Odd. Then Jonathan had stiffened, the beating of his heart slowing, his eyes glazing over. Both Joseph and I waiting patiently, after a few minutes he came back to the conversation.

"I Uh...Kamali needs you...Mason. She's in your room" Joseph glanced at his brother. The brother turned back, glaring. Almost as if they had their own secret language with just their eyes, Joseph was shut down. I sped out of the room, leaving them to their own private conversation.

Let's just hope they didn't listen to the rest of that tape.

I didn't even knock. I walked in. Her back was turned to me, a robe replacing her normal attire. She was twirling her now braided hair on the side, looking out the window. She then turned to look at me, she could sense I was here.

"Kam...is something wrong?" She shook her head, no. She began to walk towards me, holding onto my hand and writing.

"*^Nothing at all. I just think we need to talk^*" then she went to the door, closing it, locking it. What was she doing? I grew tense as she approached me again, her hand tracing up and down my chest. Coal was getting on edge. Jumpy.

"What do you want to talk about?" I said becoming strained in the voice. With Coal already fully on edge it's tempting to let him out.

"*^Nothing. I just need you to help me with something^*"

"Help you with-" she cut me off, coming closer to me, then her lips meeting mine. It was sweet, passionate, then turned to need quickly. My hand had held onto her waist. Coal was going beserck filling my head with more and more images. I broke away from her, my hand now clutching to the insides of her robe, she was bare underneath them."I won't stop myself if you keep doing this" she leaned back up, whispering, whispering into my ear.

"Then...don't" I had to have her now. Her angelic voice tearing me away from my sanity and going all animal.

"How long since your last drink?" I rolled my eyes, staring at Alex.

"Little brother I'm fine. Surely I'm fine. Look see" I did a spin, showing I was fully sober. Drunken me would have landed on his ass, maybe giggled after. He rolled his eyes.

"Well fine. Here put this on. We are addressing them at a banquet so you need to look like you owe some sort of money" I growled.

"They already know who I am, they know this suit is either a gift or stolen" he crossed his arms over his chest, watching my back as I got dressed.

"Cut the snarky attitude. You daughter needs you to do this"

"Your niece said I should look nice, this suit isn't exactly nice"

"We are Rouges what do you expect? Pack clothes?" It did smell like a rouge. There were patches, not barely visible by still visible to my eye. They were most likely covering holes, their threads showing. I wrapped the tie around my neck, trying to figure out how to do it again. Up over and through. Up- gah. He turned me around, doing the tie for me. He smoothed out any other problems with the suit adjusting it for me.

"There..." I just kept staring at him. Thinking. He gave me a questioning look. "What?"

"Thank you"

"For what?"

"Taking care of my little girl. All these years" he tended, then had depressingly looked at the ground.

"You laid the foundation I just made sure her grandfather wasn't being a jack ass" but I knew he knew what I meant. He let out a sigh after wards, clasping a hand on my shoulder. "Come on. The banquet isn't going to wait for us, neither is the werewolf council." I smirked, nodding.

"Well I suppose they aren't" then off we went.

~
It was maybe an hour drive. If I still had my wolf, we would've been here in minutes. Alex had stopped the car in the parking lot a few meters away from the building.

"I didn't exactly send a formal request nor get an invitation. It was too soon" I nodded understanding, getting out the car.

"Well this ain't my first time making an appearance in front of them so might as well make it a spectacular" I shit the door, almost slamming accidentally. He got out, closing the door softly.

"Shall we brother"

"We shall"
