Kamali

Then he disappeared. I went outside the office getting the attention of the guard. "*Protect the girl.*" he nodded walking towards the door. I went back inside grabbing the pad and pen. "*^Alpha business. One of my guards is right outside the door. His name is Nate. He is very nice so don't be scared^*" She nodded with a confused face on. I had put the pad and pen down walking out. Nate had given me a firm nod. "*Shes human. Don't let anyone else in there*"

Caleb then came back. He grabbed at my arm tugging on me. "We have to go now!" I followed after him, trying to match his quick pace. I kept having to tell him to slow down, I couldn't keep up anymore. I was out of breathe before we can make it down half the stairs. He urged me on more making me push myself.

We went to our main area and the guards were trying to hold Amelia down. She was trying to bite at them with her fangs. Caleb sped through pushing away at the Rouges. They backed away in submission leaving Amelia in the center of the circle they made around her. He was saying something to her, I just couldn't see his mouth move. "I went through so much pain Masy...so much pain! And you left me! Left me there so they could hurt me!" I walked down the steps and a bit to the right so I could see what he was saying.

"-I couldn't help you. You know that? I was powerless against a whole coven of vampires"

"They got rid of my werewolf Masy! They broke me. I'm a monster now!" He almost flinched, his eyes turning back to Mason's original color. Her eyes then trailed to me. Within a blink of an eye she was speeding towards me. Mason had faster reflexes though. He blocked her path? Holding her by her arms. She was struggling in his grip, fighting as if her life depended on it. He let her arms go. She got some more feet towards me until he came up behind her, snapping her neck. Her body fell to the floor.

My eyes widen, a thump as she made contact to the ground. He was panting. A gloominess filling his eyes. "She will wake up in a few hours. Just. Get her to the cells and make sure all infected guards get the poison out of their system" the Rouges nodded to his commands. They went to work immediately after. Mason came up to me, still staring at Amelia's body. I took his arm in my hand.

"*^Why would they turn her?^*"

"To get to me...they know I'm alive. She was just another reason to get under my skin before the blood moon" he was growing angry. I could feel it.

"^*Ill call off the funeral. We need to deal with-^*" He stopped my hand mid sentence.

"No your dad and yourself need this. That little girl in your office needs this. I'll take care of Amelia. You right now need to grieve for your Uncle. Stop stressing...it's not good for you" he gave me a sweet kiss on my forehead, his hands roaming over my stomach. Then he disappeared, his warmth following with him.

I didn't see him for the rest of the day. Not until the actual funeral. He looked worn out, yet he still made his suit and tie work.

I haven't heard from Syra in days. Made me wonder how she was doing. If she was in trouble or...I don't know anymore. I've tried talking to her but I haven't been getting any responses. Syra...you need to talk to me. I miss your voice.

Someone had touched my shoulder. I jumped, I could feel my heart rate picking up. "Whoah! Hey...it's just me..." I turned seeing Joseph. I let out a breathe, feeling myself relax a little. He gave me a look, the all too familiar look. After all these years we spent together, I would always know what he's thinking just on a look. He gave me a sad look, the 'I'm sorry' look. I looked away from him, any longer I would've broke down.

He picked my chin up with his fingers so I had to look at him. We stared at each other for a while, just until he brought me into a hug. I stayed in his arms, sobbing. I couldn't do this. Not now. Not when we are on the verge of war. Not now. I pushed away at him, wiping at my eyes. "Kamali.." I shook my head at him. I can't do this. I turned my back to him, beginning to walk away. Maybe he called out my name. I just kept going, pushing past everyone who was beginning to gather.

I found myself back at the pack house. I couldn't run but as fast as I could I made it back to my room. I opened the door to see the girl and the bitch sitting down on my bed. They looked to be in a conversation until I walked in. Maria had gotten up, a concern please on on her face.

"Kamali...what's wrong?" What's wrong? Did she seriously just say what's wrong?

"Get out" I don't know how loud I was. So I pointed at the door. She gave me a confused look, does this idiot not know how to follow a command?

"That's...Alpha. Get out!" Maria looked afraid. Slowly she grabbed her daughter, beginning to tug her out of the room.
