Mason

I just sat there. Twirling the coin in my hand, watching the symbols spinning around. I was in a daze. Just staring. Someone had come up in front of me, leaning against the counter top. I heard a muffled voice but all I could do was stare. His words still haunting me.

"Your mother left me. When she found out she was pregnant with you, she found out I was a Hybrid. She thought I was a monster. She thought what she was creating was a monster"

I shook my head. "No my mother loves me. She would never, never-"

"Ah but she will. One day when she figures out your mate rejected you, when she figures your nothing she'll toss you out of the pack. That's why you couldn't become Alpha, she didn't want you to have power knowing you were what you are now. Why do you think she said I was dead?"

"Then why didn't she just kill me when she had the chance?" He basically smirked, his eyes seemed to have gleamed in the moonlight.

"Every hybrids mother has a curse" he came closer to me, his hands stuffed into his pockets. "When a hybrid is in the womb a sort of magic keeps it alive, your mother had been able to pump twice as much blood than before when she wasn't pregnant. Because if her body didn't she would've sucked dry by her baby, by you.

Now the curse binds the mother and the child together so if something were to happen to the child it would happen to the mother and vise-versa. So if she were to kill you.."

My eyes widen. "She would be killing herself"

"Smart boy. Your 'Father' had known this as all my father ever talked about was about the time he almost got rid of the burden he had to call a son"

"I don't get it. She told me-"

"Lies. All lies. She drilled it into your head son. Drilled lies into you. What I give you is truth"

"Why should I trust your truth then?"

"Because.." he had paused, coming way closer, maybe inches away. "I'm one of you...shouldn't you have trust in your own kind"

"Mason...Mason..I got you something to drink" she was shaking me out of my trance. I blinked looking  at her as she her light smile went to a frown. "What's wrong?"

"My father is alive. You lied to me" from under her mask, a gloom expression washed over her face.

"I-I have no idea what your...t-talking about" I flipped the coin to her as she stumbled to catch it. She glanced at it, her skin turning pale as a ghost. "This was your fathers. Where did you g-get it?"

"From him. He gave it to me" I had snarled at her, she lifted herself off the counter top, backing away. "Why did you hide him away from me? Why leave me Fatherless?"

"You have a father it's-"

"For gods sake it's not him!" My hand had slammed against the wood counter top, a loud bang sounding after it. She flinched then stood still. "Do not call for him. I want some fucking answers!" I stood up, the stool under neath me giving way at the force I pushed it down at.

"Mason your scaring-"

"Is that even my real name? Because that just sounds like a werewolf name to me!"

"You need to calm down, please" I kept approaching her with long slow steps. She put her hands up as her back met with a pillar that held up the kitchens roof.

"He told me everything. You left him, rejecting him when you found out what he was. A monster. Sadly you couldn't get rid of me too am I right? Am I not lying?!"

"Please don't make me do this. You have to listen to me-"

"Oh I think I've listened to you for far to long. Don't you think Mother?" There was silence until the hairs on the back of my neck stood at end. I turned to see Ryder, a look of concern written on his face.

"What are you doing there Mason?"

"I have no idea. Why don't you tell him mother dearest. Tell him the lies you told me"

Caleb I can handle the situation right now.

No you can't because you also got the werewolf controlling you.

My eyes had begun to sting, I felt my teeth sharpen. I looked down at my skin to see it begin  to Pale.

"Caleb...I already know everything. You need to tell me where your father is so your mother and him can reunite" Ryder took slow, cautious steps towards me, only making me closer to her.

"To hurt him right? He mentioned that too. Some brother you are to him" Caleb had moved  closer to her, why did she smell so different?

"I know what I did but if he told you the truth, he would have told you that it was our Father to blame. That man was manipulative and abusive, trust me"

"You raised us as your own, why lie? Why did you have to keep everything a secret?"

"We wanted you as our son that's why. Your mother and I love you very much"

"Liar, your lying just as he said you would!"

"And you think he's telling the whole truth why? He didn't show up for your life, now get away from my mate before you do something you'll regret" his teeth gritted his fist clenching.

"Because he is my real father, my true blood" and with that Caleb had his way, turning and sinking his teeth into my mothers neck.
