Kamali

It was later in the day. I was already back to work. I didn't have time to sit in my room locked away anymore. Mason was still upset about earlier. He was tense all through the meeting I was currently in. He was had sat in the corner of the room, sending death glares to any males who would look at me. I glanced down at all the paper work in front of me. Most of them letters from the rouges living farther away towards the eastern border. They knew what Emily had wanted. What it could to them.

"Most of the family districts are down there. We can't possibly make them move. Most of the younger children live there and making them having to pack up everything to leave is out of the question" I got up slamming my fist upon the table.

"*Then what do you propose we do Rick? We have nothing that could protect everyone!*"

"Exactly correct. We need to take the deal. End of discussion"

"No we need to stay and fight. We do not give up ground to some prestigious pack"

"We will lose everything, everyone you fool-" everyone was beginning to argue. My eye brows had creased together. I looked back and fourth trying to figure out what everyone was saying. But my eyes could only go so fast. My mind barely able to process everything. I banged my fist against the table to calm everyone down and get their attention. They didn't notice me. I kept trying but they still were arguing. My eyes had then traced over to Mason, who was getting up by now. He stood at the other head of the table, his eyes turning yellow.

This is going be great

Syra? Your back! Wait how?

Him

I stared at him as he started to yell. "Hey!" The room had grown quiet. No one was moving. They had all stopped to look at him, their eyes widen in fear. "Sit down and keep your fucking mouths shut" they all immediately had sat down, their eyes still glued to him. My mouth had gaped open, staring. His eyes had returned to their normal color, his shoulders dropping. "Thank you" he then said. People were looking between themselves, murmuring under their breathes.

Someone had stood, the tables attention on my Gamma. "We need to use him" she pointed at Mason. There was silence, again.

"*How do you propose we do that?*" I responded giving her a blank expression.

"We all know what happened with his real father. We all know your a vampire. Everyone of us know your true form, we've seen it" I felt him grow sad. His fingers had tapped against the wooden table. Nervous of where she was going with this. "We all know you love our Alpha. It's no secret. You guys are destined to be" the silence still had surrounded her words. No one was moving.

"We need to tell his sister about you two. It's about time. We don't know what Alpha Ryder is doing not telling his daughter such thing, or rather his mate either. She probably wouldn't know either. We need to be discussing the bigger problem. The vampires threats against us"

"How did you-"

"Theres no secrets when it comes to the rouges Mason. If you are going to stay here, you'd need to learn that" she had narrowed her eyes at him. What she says is true.

I don't like her talking to that way to him

Quiet

"*So what are you proposing Gamma? Send him there? They'll lock him up. His vampire side has attacked the recent Luna and I'm sure everyone is on guard there*" Suddenly the door had opened to reveal Jonathan. He had a slight limp still, but he was holding maps and walking to the table. He put the maps on the table, laying them out.

"I'm sorry I'm late. Issues with the seniors in the west ward. Anyways I'm agreeing of getting him on the inside. Gamma Simone was letting me know what was happening here" everyone had gotten up to peer over the table, staring at the map. It had shown our understanding of their pack grounds. Jonathan had then circled an area with a red marker.

"The pack house is here. Correct?" Mason had nodded, his hand rubbing through the slight stubble on his chin.

"There are entrances here" he pointed, J following to mark it. "here" he marked it again. "And here"

"All right give me more. What else do we know about the area?"

"*Theres a weak spot near the lake which could lead us to be undetected until we get closer*" my eyes had snapped to Mason. Someone was translating for him this whole time. His eyes had went to me.

"We? No there is no we if we are going to do this. I have to work alone" there were mummers of agreements. Everyone was nodding in agreement.

"Alpha he knows that place better than anyone. Plus adding on another person is just a liability" said one of the council members.

"*When are we sending him then?*"

"We barely have any time. We need to send him in as soon as night falls" J has spoke up again. More signs of agreement running through the air.

Tonight. We can't send him tonight. We still need him here. Our heat isn't over-

Your making excuses. You don't want to see him leave

But-

We must do what's best for the pack

Someone had snapped their fingers in front of my face, drawing me away from my trance. It was Jonathan. "Kam? You alright?" I nodded.

"*Tonight as soon as the sun sets*"

~
I was beginning to pace. The sun was starting to go down. I was beginning to worry. Syra wouldn't stop nagging me. Wouldn't stop saying not to send him. Then I felt him. Behind me. He wasn't trying to sneak up on me. He wanted me to know he was there. He wrapped his arms around my waist from behind. He felt cold against my warm skin. It was soothing. Then he was writing on my skin.

"^I wanted to tell you I was leaving^" again. I didn't respond. I kept my stiff stance, not looking at him. I felt vibrations come from his throat, he had hummed. He went around me to face me. He picked up my chin with his fingers, making me look at him. "Please don't ignore me" I took his other hand, writing.

"*^ I'm not mad at you. Just mad that this is what it comes to^*"

"Awe you do care" he teased. I slapped his hands away from me, rolling my eyes. "Listen I'll be back tomorrow night. If I'm not back by then I give you permission to come get me"

"*^So I have to get permission to be able to find you^*" I put a hand on my chest fake gasping.

"Yes. You know there's only one person you will ever bow down to. There's only one person you will ever be submissive too"

"*^Who's that?^*" he paused a bit, leaning in to give me a sweet peck on my lips. He pulled back his mouth moving again.

"Me"
