The girl wasn't shy. Not at all. She didn't glance at the floor when she caught the gaze of one of the werewolves nor did she flinch at the sight of them fighting. It was almost like she was use to it. Like she has seen it already. When ever Mason would check back to check if she was still following him, her eyes would dart to the floor. She was only scared of him...why?

We led her to our office. A safe area to speak. She stared in amazement though, at the office. Staring at its grand space, maybe the amount of books on the wall, or the painting of grandpa and his sons on one of the walls. Mason said something to her, making her nod her head. She sat down on one of couches there, still tense in his presence. I motioned to her if she wanted a drink and she shook her head with a 'no thank you'. I nodded sitting in front of her. I let out a sigh.

"Mommy told me your deaf. How can you still...communicate with me. Know what I'm saying?" I nodded, going to my desk and grabbing a pen and pad.

"*^I can read lips using the vibrations in the air and knowing mouth movements^*" her mouth formed in a 'o'. Her eyes glanced down to my growing stomach.

"Are we like...cousins?" I nodded at her. Yes. She seemed to have bitten her inner cheek. "How does that happen...isn't he dead?" Her eyes then quickly glanced at Mason. I narrowed my eyes. Something is up with this kid.

"*^You can sense vampire on him?^*" she nodded quickly. Odd. I chose not to tell her about his ability. He didn't even have his vampire on him, to everyone he smelled pure wolf. "*^He's not completely dead. He is a Hybrid^*" she nodded again.

"A-and my dad...what happened to him?"

"*^Thats difficult to say. Let me tell you how he lived rather than how he died. Ask me anything^*"

"Oh look. It's the she-devil" Marcus was behind her as well. He gave me a glare, shutting the door behind him.

"You didn't meet us at the border"

"I didn't even want you coming here. I'm talking about you Maria" there was a silence. The door opened them closed again. I turned my head towards the door, Marcus was gone, now it was just her. "Get out!"

"No Jace we need to talk." She went to come closer. I flashed my canines at her, snarling. She still kept her poker face on. "You don't scare me you drunken asshole"

"I'm not drunk! God you humans are so fucking ignorant" she stayed silent. She got closer to me, just arms reached. "I said..get out!" She kept the silence. I felt myself calm down for some reason. She then pulled me into a hug. I felt limp.

"Your brother died. You need to cry it out some more asshole"

"Your fucking driving me to continue drinking you know that?"

"I know..." I almost laughed, then I felt the tears begin to swell my eyes. When I closed them, the tears began to fall. Soothingly she began to run her hand up and down my back, small circles. I was calming down as the minutes went on.

She sat with me. The she devil herself sat...with me. She let me cry, and sob, and cry. She was calming me down. Why and how i have no idea. She let out some more moments of silence. Until she cut it herself.

"I'm sorry I left. I didn't know this is what would've happened" I stood up, walking away from her. I wiped away at the remaining tears.

"How did you not know? You knew he was a werewolf. A rouge at that. You knew what that meant."

"I didn't think it would end like this! I-"

"You what? He was murdered. I shouldn't be crying this much. It happens at least once in every family"

"How then?" I glanced at her.

"What?"

"Who killed him?" I went silent. I shook my hood making my way to the door. She quickly stood up grabbing at my arm. I turned towards her, growling.

"Don't push me Maria"

"He is still the father of my daughter. Please"

"He isn't. Never was. Now that he's suddenly dead he's a father? That is not how this shit works"

The girl kept giving me looks. I didn't like it. It made Coal and I both very uncomfortable. She could smell Caleb. She could smell him. He wasn't even here.

When the girl was done asking questions about her dad there were tears in her eyes. Kamali's face stood expressionless but I can feel her growing sad as well. I wanted to comfort her, I would only scare the girl. Kam wrote something on the pad again. The girl nodded her wiping at her cheeks. Kam also handed her something. She took it staring at it and more tears forming in her eyes, pouring out. There was a knock at the door.  I went behind the desk checking and seeing it was Caleb. He looked frantic. I gave a worry glance to Kamali who only nodded at me.

I went to the door opening it slightly. "T-they turned her! You need to come. Now"

"Turned who? Caleb calm down" he was trying to ramble.

"Amelia. Amelia! She attacked the patrol. They are...you and Kamali need to go now" I couldn't find words. I shook my head.

"I-impossible" Kamali was now next to me. She was tapping me, trying to get my attention. "We have to go."

"*^Im confused. What has happened?^*" she wrote fast. I shook my head, pulling Caleb into the office. The girl on the sofa had wide eyes staring at us. Fear. I could smell fear on her.

"Get in the mirror and lets go" Quickly he did as he was told. I felt him immediately take over, springing us it if there.
