•Masons POV•Sitting in my room up against my bed as I looked at my arm. He had left a deep mark on my arm as it would take a while to heal.
Though the feeling of their lingering touch against my arm, made me smile. I felt my stomach feel light but at the same time that strange butterfly feeling.
Seeing those beautiful brown eyes staring over at me.
Seeing their long coat of fur consisting of red-ish brown, light brown, and white. They were fairly large, only taking a few steps to look at me. They seemed cautious at the time.
I smiled wider remembering when I had gotten off of one of the wolves getting us back home. I remembered walking towards them as they stayed out.
Their head rubbing against my injured arm. Not a single worded uttered but we understood.
' don't get to excited, yet at least. The pack can feel you and misunderstand' Kia spoke
" right.." I mumbled
'let's check how hazels doing' he said
I hummed and stood up and walked out my room. Heading to her and Xavier's room when I heard talking from inside.
" Luna, do understand he won't be here for the next few days. He has to take care of the situation and is doing so with the elder and other alphas-"
" so instead of us leaving him again it's the other way around, at least let me know that he's alright" she scoffed
" you're acting almost like him when you two left." Max spoke
" I know, but..what I saw was him fighting a bigger alpha. He was bleeding. He didn't seem him" she spoke
I laid my head against the door and quietly listened
" ..you don't see it do you?" Max questioned
It was silent for a moment before someone spoke again.
" Luna, has he not proven how he can really be? Why he killed his own pack members. How he orders us around?how he stares at us when we do something wrong. He's much more stronger then you think, Luna" a pack member spoke
" he might be, but he's still meat and bones with a beating heart, he can get seriously hurt" She argued
" he won't-"
" I live by experience. A rouge. A true hearted killer, no? I've gotten beat down many times. That alpha could have killed me I won't lie."
" they won't kill Xavier. They won't." I spoke
It went silent as I opened the door to see hazel on the bed as max and one other pack member were inside.
"...I'd say I trust your words but..."
" they've known Xavier since he turned 18. They know how he is now. And knowing he saw us get hurt really pushed him to attack. Trust me. He won't get killed" I smiled
Again silence. She patted the bed as I went over and laid down.
" you're going to have to trust our word" max said
" you, I saw you-"
" I'm okay Luna." Max smiled
" Luna..would you like to walk...with me?"
We both looked up to her. It was the women that had once been mute. I lightly bowed my head as she did the same.
" how's the baby doing?" I asked
