(6) "You Lost Your Right"

Four months later..

It was the end of the their freshmen year of college. The college was hosting a sprint formal Nikki wasn't going to go. But Sasha and Kaylee from the dance team as well as the girls convinced her to go. Everyone was dressed up and gathered in their living room. Nikki walked out in her dress and heels. 

"Nat.." she said 

Natasha came over to her. "You alright look pale. And your lipstick is a little smudged." Nat said as she helped her fix it. 

"Thanks.." she said 

They all headed out the front door to their cars. Nikki drove herself so she could leave when she wanted. They all arrived at the venue for the dinner and formal. Holden did come over to her and greeted her. Bucky seen them he leaned in Sam's ear.

"Why hasn't he been by the house in awhile." He said 

"Dude you really haven't been paying attention. They ended their relationship back before thanksgiving. He wanted to take her home to meet mama and daddy she panicked and ended things. She hasn't really dated since she's been on a few blind dates according to Delilah. But nothing serious." Sam said 

"Why would she panic about meeting parents." Bucky said 

"I don't know. Delilah still won't spill the beans about what she told them a few months ago. I've tried everything." Sam said 

Bucky shook his head. "Don't worry about it anymore. It's clear that she and I will never be able to repair it. She won't even look at me she leaves the room when I come in." Bucky said 

"Well I know that you don't care Bucky. You never have cared why she did it. But I do care cause she hurt my best friend. And it's pretty shitty if you ask me that she has some big secret about why she ended up in bed with someone else while she was still with you." Sam said 

As the night wore on the girls were dancing all night long to the fast songs. Nikki and Holden danced to a few slow songs. As it closer to midnight Nikki started to feel hot and dizzy. She felt it was best that she leave. The girls started to walk her out when she fainted. 

Sam and the boys went running. "Nikki" Sasha said 

"Come on Nikki don't do this again." Kaylee said as she tapped her face.

The school officials called 911. 

"Natasha.." Bucky said as she came back to the table to get her stuff. 

"Don't you dare. You lost your right to know anything about her life." She said 

"Nat.." Emily said 

"Don't you put your two sense into it. He chose to let her go and he lost his right when he did what he did and made things worse for her." Natasha said and walked off.

Bucky swallowed hard and took a deep breathe. "Let's just go home Em. We will figure it out in the morning." He said as they left the ball room. 

At the hospital the girls waited in the waiting room of the ER. Alexandria came in about forty five minutes after the girls called since Macon wasn't far from Athens. The staff allowed her back in the room. The doctor came in. 

"Okay Ms Matthews. It's appears that you were just dehydrated but seeing as this is the 5th visit in the last month we going to further examine you." He said as a nurse drew some blood. 

"Baby this is the 5th time you have been brought in.." Alex said 

The doctor began to examine her. When he lifted her gown Alexandria saw her stomach. 

"Nikki baby I can see your ribs.." she said in a low tone. 

She looked down. "Look at me Ms Matthews.." he said as he had a popsicle stick he examined her throat. 

"How long?" He said 

Nikki looked at him confused. "How long have you been suffering from bulimia?" He said 

Nikki looked down. "For almost four years.." she whispered 

"That's why you are passing out. And let me guess you have been hiding it from everyone." He said as he began to make notes in her chart. 

"Nikki.." Alexandria said when she shook her head yes. 

About an hour later her blood work came back which showed she was also taking diet pills. Alexandria updated Hudson even though they were fighting cause she had been living with him and how could he not notice something was wrong. 

Alexandria also updated the girls in the waiting room. When she was discharged the next morning her mother took her to get her car. She promised her mom if she stayed at the college she would get help. When she walked into the house the boys were making breakfast. 

Bucky came into her room. "Can I atleast know that you are not dying?" He said 

She laid down and pulled the blanket over her head. "I'm here aren't I. So clearly I'm not dying..although I'm sure you would love that." She said 

"Nicole..why would you ever think that I would wish someone dead." He said 

"Because you hate me. You stopped loving me.." she said as she went to sleep. 

Bucky came back into the kitchen. "What did the doctor say?" He said 

Holden was in the kitchen. "Why do you even care? You made her feel like shit and on top of that she told me all about how you basically ran her name and reputation through the mud in highschool." He said 

"Look Holden she cheated. I did what I thought was best. I don't care about why she did it or anything else. But I'm not heartless." Bucky said 

"Right. Well maybe if you did care you would realize that you were the problem. Call me Nat if she needs anything." Holden said 

"I wasn't the problem Holden. She is the one that cheated all on her own." Bucky said 

"Yeah and my grandma is married to Elvis." Holden said as he left. 

Bucky shook his head then went upstairs. Later that day he called his mom hoping she had answers on what happened. But Winnie told him that Alexandria refused to talk about it.
