(16) "What Happened?"

 A week and half later..

After Sam and Delilah got back from their honeymoon. Sam picked up Bucky told Emily they were taking him out to dinner just the original group. Emily was hurt by Sam's remark but Sam knew that if she went with them she would cause a fuss. 

They all met up at Buffalo Wild Wings where they got a table far away from the crowds. Once they ordered their food and drinks. Sam looked at Bucky. 

"Bucky we asked you to join us for dinner cause we want to know what happened? What made you snap like that?" Sam said 

Bucky looked down. "All my life I've been the backwards country boy football star. The mechanic's son I live on a farm. I grew up knowing that just because my mother is a nurse we still had to make ends meat. Sometimes dad's checks didn't always cover the bills..I was raised to be up at 5 AM to do farm chores and then go to school..." he said 

Nat looked down she wasn't liking where this was going. "And somehow I landed this princess. She chose to be with me a girl who lives in the big fancy house with a doctor as a dad and a step father. And somehow I had her as my girl..she never cared if we didn't get to go anywhere she was happy just sitting at home watching movies with me..then she got pregnant but we lost him. When I turned 16 I had to take on my job on top of school and farm chores. And when she was here before school let out she didn't seem to care..that our time together was being cut in half. She goes away for the summer and I find this gorgeous ring that I wanted to get her for Christmas..and I also needed the money to buy my truck..." he continued 

"Bucky is there a point to all this?" Hope said 

"I have three jobs..and helping with the farm still. On top of my daughter and my wife who is currently pregnant with baby #2. She took a test this morning..and when I seen Nicole I lost it..he's a doctor he can buy himself anything he wants. He doesn't have to struggle he doesn't have to figure out what payments need to be split..he's perfect for her. She is who she needs to be with cause I can't give her those things. A big sparkler like she had on her finger.." he said 

"I thought you said she wasn't like that." Scott said 

"I guess I was wrong." He said as he took his plate of food. 

"You don't know that Buck.." Nat said 

"And whose to say it's going to work out." Wanda said 

"Ditto on that." Bobbi said 

"Because it will..and I will spend forever wondering if it was because he had money..that it was more about that then me being the problem." He said as he dipped his chicken wing in some ranch. 

When he got home he kissed Emily's head before he carried her upstairs. "Love you Emily Marie.." he whispered as she cuddled closer. 

"Love you." She whispered 
He checked in Sienna's room to check on her. He went downstairs to began to grading papers and putting together the test for the week.
