Let's all welcome spacetodream to our interview hot seat today. She's also one of our contest winners. Here's what she said.

What's your name and tell us a little about yourself?

My name is Stacie Eirich. I'm a mother of two, a writer and a singer living in the New Orleans area.

What or who inspires you to write?

I'm inspired to write by the creative people I meet, the authors & books I love, the places I dream of going and have been, and the music of the universe around and within us.

What's your favorite quote?

"The earth has music for those who listen."

Did anything in your book happen to you in real life?

No, this story is pure fantasy!

Define Fantasy in your own words?

A wonderous flight into another world, born of creativity and imagination.

What's your favorite fantasy book on Wattpad?

The Enchanted Spring by @floranocturna

What Fantasy sub-genre is easier for you to write?

High or Epic Fantasy is probably my most comfortable sub-genre to write in, because it lends itself to poetic prose. But I'm also an avid reader of historical fantasies, particularly medieval or Arthurian - so it's also a subgenre I feel comfortable writing in.

Who's your favorite fantasy author?

Tough question, as I have many favorite fantasy books & authors! Top 3: Ursula K. LeGuin (Earthsea series), J.K. Rowling (Harry Potter series), & C.S. Lewis (The Chronicles of Narnia).

Hobbies?

I love baking and spending time outdoors, usually walking or biking. In addition to side-gigs as a classical & choral singer, I also dabble in theater, usually performing in one or two musicals a year.

Pet peeves?

Lately, my pet peeve is barking dogs - because there are so many in my neighborhood, and I'm a cat person. Other than that, I have a very Mom-answer: Whiny kids!

Most used app?

Wattpad is definitely the winner! But I also use music apps constantly - (Spotify, Soundcloud, AmazonMusic for listening and NKoda, RecLite & VirtualChorister for sheet music & home recording).

A city or country you'd like to visit?

London, England.

What TV show are you obsessed with right now?

I wouldn't say obsessed - but I am currently watching Wandavision. And I will admit that I was hooked on Bridgerton over the holidays and may have binge-watched its episodes twice. :-)

Is your glass half full or half empty?

Always half-full!

What makes you laugh the most?

When my daughter turns on Broadway or 80s tunes and "rocks out" with her Mama.

A celebrity you'd love to meet?

Living = Hugh Jackman or Renee Fleming Dead = Judy Garland

What's your greatest fear?

My children being gravely injured or ill, without hope of recovery.

Winter or summer?

Winter

Bad boy or Billionaire stories?

Bad boy

Can you tell us what you're currently writing?

I'm writing two stories for the Open Novella Contest; Song of the Stars and William & Eliza, a Tale of Love & Players. The first is a YA fantasy/space opera, the second a historical time-travel romance set in Shakespearean England. Both feel like a delicious escape to write, and I hope readers will be enchanted by them!

And there it is. Thank you spacetodream for your time spent on this interview.
