What's your name and tell us a little about yourself?

My name is Ridhwan Badamasi. I am 20, from Northern Nigeria and a student of Biochemistry. Outside of studying, I am an avid reader and very much addicted to coffee.

What or who inspires you to write?

I get inspired knowing that I could do something, change something with my work. I believe we all have our duties in this collective living especially writers.

What's your favorite quote?

I think it was Blake who said 'art is an act of faith, prayer the study of it.'

Did anything in your book happen to you in real life?

No. I haven't written something that happened to me personally.

Define Fantasy in your own words?

I think fantasy is a genre of literature that features magical or supernatural elements. I think fantasy should not be tied to reality or scientific fact.

What's your favorite fantasy book on Wattpad?

The Dragon Chase by Arveliot.

What Fantasy sub-genre is easier for you to write?

Low fantasy, because it does not demand a ton of world-building.

Who's your favorite fantasy author?

I can't decide between Joe Abercrombie and Mark Lawrence. And there's Brandon Sanderson. Oh God!

Hobbies?

Reading, writing, going on long walks.

Pet peeves?

Oh. I have lots of pet peeves. Like people who use a million redundant hashtags on Instagram, people who listen to their music through the speakers, people who are all abbreviation when chatting. I could go on and on!

Most used app?

Microsoft Word, Audiomack.

A city or country you'd like to visit?

Italy. There are a lot of museums I want to devour there.

What TV show are you obsessed with right now?

I don't watch a lot of Tv, but I was hooked on Dexter a while back. It was dark, gritty, and oh-so thrilling.

Is your glass half full or half empty?

Always half-full.

What makes you laugh the most?

A carefully crafted meme.

A celebrity you'd love to meet?

Lana del Rey. She's a mood!

What's your greatest fear?

The fear of losing my identity.

Winter or summer?

Winter. Nothing beats snuggling under a warm blanket.

Bad boy or Billionaire stories?

Bad boy.

Can you tell us what you're currently writing?

I've got a chapbook in the works, and I am down to the last couple of chapters a crime thriller.
