Jesus took us out of darkness to be light in this world. (Colossians 1:13; Matthew 5:14)
We need to walk and prove what God has for us. Many are divided between the world and the kingdom of God. If you love the world, God's love cannot be in you. (1 John 2:15)
We often exchange what God has for "dishes of lentils," just as Esau exchanged his birthright. (Genesis 25:27-34)
The Bible warns us to watch and pray because our flesh is weak. (Matthew 26:41)
