"Do you not know that your body is the sanctuary of the Holy Spirit, which is in you, which ye have from God, and that ye are not your own? For ye were bought with a price. Now therefore glorify God in your body."
1 Corinthians 6:19-20
Here Paul is saying that we were bought with a price and that our bodies are the sanctuary of the Holy Spirit. That's why we must be very careful with what we do with our body and also with our decisions. Since we were bought and our body and sanctuary from the Holy Spirit, we need to ask permission to do something, because if a price was paid, someone is the owner... and that owner is Jesus! Therein lies the secret of David, for being a man after God's own heart. He asked God for guidance before doing things.
