"These things I have told you that you may have peace in me. In the world you are afflicted; but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world."
John 16:33
The reason people are sad, sick, with no solution to their problems, is in this verse: "... in the world, you are suffering from afflictions..."
If in the world there are afflictions, why are many people in it then? If you continue to live according to the world, surely you will have affliction in your life! But there is a solution! Jesus conquered the world for you! (John 16:33)
When we begin to live Christ in us, we will be free from the afflictions of the world. (Galatians 2:20)
