❣︎ Elias's POV ❣︎

It was the second day Naomi and I had community service. Last time she didn't talk to me, not once. I really do miss talking to her as a friend, but I think I've ruined any chance of getting that friendship back.

Although she claims we're not friends anymore, I still feel terrible knowing what I did behind her back.

Hooking up with anyone knowing they're in a relationship is bad, but especially when it's your ex best friend's boyfriend. I was just horny and I regret it. I have to tell her. I'm going to tell her.

But then I'd feel like I caused a breakup that shouldn't have happened...which technically, I did. But then again, she deserves to know.

"Elias, keep cleaning" the principal said, taking me out of my thoughts.

I went back to wiping and cleaning the windows. "Uh, I need more disinfectant spray" I told the principal once I realized there was barely any left. "Look under my desk, if there's none there try the janitors closet" she responded.

I looked under her desk but I didn't see any. I walked out of her office to the janitors closet. I tried opening the door but it was locked.

I started walking down the hallway, towards the classroom Naomi was cleaning. I already finished cleaning my half of that classroom, therefore now I was cleaning the principals office.

When I got to the room, the door was closed and locked. I knocked on the door a few times before Naomi opened it.

"What?" she sighed in annoyance. "You have the janitors keys to the janitors closet right?" I asked. "Yes, why?" she shrugged. "I need to get something from the janitors closet. So, can you give me the keys?" I questioned.

She started to give them to me then stopped. "Oh wait I forgot, I can't give them to you" she said. "Why not?" I questioned with a confused look on my face.

"Because she told me not to lose her keys" she explained, referring to one of the janitors. "You think I'm gonna lose a key?" I chuckled. "You might" she immediately answered.

"Ok fine, then come unlock the door for me" I said. "Are you asking me or telling me?" she responded. "Can you come unlock the door for me?" I asked with a forced smile. She rolled her eyes, but walked out the room towards the janitors closet anyways.

She unlocked the door and held it open while gesturing me inside. "Ok, I'm going to leave. Make sure whatever you do, you don't let the door close while you're in there" she voiced before letting go of the door.

"Why-" I started to ask but the door shut in my face. "Try to open it and maybe you'll find out why" she sarcastically said. I tried to open the door but it was locked from the inside.

"It locks from the inside?" I asked. "No, it just wants you to say the magic word" she sarcastically responded. "Ok, open the door please" I pleaded since it was dark and hot. "Hm, should I or shouldn't I?" she teased.

"Naomi, open the door" I softly said with my head against the door. I heard her start to walk away. "Naomi?" I called. "Shh" she responded. "Oh, I thought you left" I sighed in relief.

"Shut up" she quietly said. "I'll be back, I have to go to my car real quick" I heard our principal say. "Ok" Naomi responded. "Where's Elias?" our principal questioned. "Elias? Uh, maybe in the bathroom or something" Naomi nervously answered.
