Chapter 82

The Red-Eyed monsters were wrecking havoc in the world. Blood and dead bodies were everywhere. Humans ran and screamed for their lives as the monsters hunted them for their blood. Their thirst was nothing I've seen before. I stood there within the pile of dead bodies horrified as I watched the scene before me. I could do nothing. I was helpless. Children cried for their mommies but the monsters weren't showing any of them mercy. They brutally ripped and tore into their necks sucking the life out of them. This was no need for survival. No. This was plain evil.

I woke up gasping for breath covered in sweat. As usual Zukile gathered me into his arms and I held onto him crying. I don't know why I was crying but I knew I had seen something horrible in the dream. My mate's body was shaking in fury. Whatever he saw there with me must've been as bad as I was imagining and for the first time I didn't want to know but I knew I had no choice in the matter.

Me: "T-Tell me." I said after a while.

Zukile: "Precious one."

Me: "P-Please. I need to know."

Zukile: "It was not pretty. It will scare you."

Me: "I know." He gave me a squeeze.

Zukile: "This is fucked up." He growled angrily. It was. But it was our destiny. We couldn't fight against it. So I just brushed my mind against his in comfort. He sighed and kissed the top of my head, then he told me. And God was I freaked.

Me: "So are you telling me that it's for certain that what we saw in dream will happen?!"

Zukile: "Yes...maybe.." He sighed. "It's rare but I've heard of the future changing."

Me: "Oh my god Zukile! We need to change it. We can't let those people die like that."

Zukile: "Calm down baby." He said rubbing his nose against my face. "Maybe the reason you're having these dreams is for us to find ways to change or stop what's coming." I found comfort in him saying "us" meaning we were in this together. "Of course we're in this together. We're fated. There's no you without me. We live and die together."

Sheesh.

Me: "Thank-."

Zukile: "Don't." I laughed.

Me: "I love you." I said kissing his chin.

His eyes went molten.

Zukile: "That's better." I laughed rolling my eyes. He placed a kiss on my lips. "Don't worry okay? We'll figure it out."

Me: "Okay."
