-JIMIN’S POV-

“Welcome to the land of love.” Her little giggles echoed in my ears.

A flashback of memories dawned upon me once again. It’s been a year yet, it wasn’t possible for me to move on from her. How could I? People say there is a phase in every individual’s life where they find true love, forgetting those bitter-sweet memories of our past.

What if I want her in my present? Reminiscing the past not sorrowfully instead with glee. A year of her leaving me forever from this world. Yet, I wasn’t able to accept the reality. Coming across the familiar ride my heart churned with memories from our antiquity. One that had me and her together as a happy couple.

-THREE YEARS AGO-

“Don’t,” her giggles echoed in my ear as we spun around holding each other’s hands like little kids. Probably we were much more childish than them. “I feel dizzy!” Whining she spun rather fastly making me chuckle.

“You seem to do the opposite though.” Passing her a teasing leer I comment, she huffed ignoring the smirk playing on my lips. After a good few minutes we halted our steps and the world spun around us both dizziness taking over our brains. All that I ever anticipated in that moment was her presence and only hers. Wrapping my arms around her, bringing her into my proclivity.

“That was fun,” fanning my breath against her neck, my fingers drew circles on her trench coat. “Yes it was.” Humming against my chest she leaned more onto me. Perhaps being content with my actions. Intertwining our hands I pulled her to the long line for kids to ride those horses. “No, that's embarrassing.”

Glaring at me she attempted to run free. Having a firm grip on her frame I declined her adamancy. “It’s gonna be fun, trust me.” Pleading to her I beseech through my eyes. “If you say so.” Buying the tickets we sat on two separate rides her cheeks were flushed red releasing her awkward demeanor. “Don't be embarrassed, it’s gonna be fun.”

Though I highly doubted my words seeing all those kids' parents pass us weird looks. The ride started. I yelled at the top of my lungs catching her off guard. “What are you doing?”

“Oh come on, sing along with me, this is gonna be so scandalous.” Winking at her flirtatiously I continue harping. Chortling at my excitement Y/N sang along.

-10 MINUTES LATER-

Laughing wholeheartedly as we walked to the other end of the park, she clutched onto her stomach resting her head on my shoulder failing to control her cackle.

“Didn’t I say it was gonna be fun? Thank God we don’t have a kid or we’d be one among those old lads who’d be sending judgemental looks to a young couple like us. Despite us being the best couple out there.”

That smile never disappeared from her face. Prove to me, she was enthralled with the frolic experience.

“You’re right.” Sunrays dawned upon her face instinctively, my hands fondled her cheeks gazing at her intently, placing my lips on hers. Feeling heat radiate from her skin, my eyes gleamed proud of the reaction I received. Pecking her lips I glanced at her affectionately. “Do you like this place wifey?”

“Yes I do.” Sitting on a nearby bench she answered. “Would you like moving here?” Her brows knit debating with herself.

“Maybe yes, why do you ask so?” Playing with the ring in her fingers that I had managed to successfully place one that bellowed our bond and announcing to the world she rightly belonged to me, my eyes creased softly mumbling. “Let’s move to this city then.”

-PRESENT-

“If only I had known back then, shifting to this city would be the start of our vanquish and never ending misery I wouldn’t dare bringing you to this amusement park and asking such a stupid question.”

Watching kids play in that familiar ride his heart ached longing for his lover, his deceased other half. “If only I had been cautious a year ago maybe we’d be together in this place today.”

Curled in sheets your features had him left awestruck swiping the hair strand sticking on your forehead with nose scrunched and face holding no expression.

“I could preserve and cherish this sight of this view forever in my brain.” Frowning at your hand placed under the pillow he held it gently sheathing it around his waist.

“You’re supposed to be hugging me like every female lead in movies and regular couples in real life do. Not this boring pillow.”

Listening to a faint giggle his lips curved up. Pulling the duvet over you both hovering over your figure, locking your hands in his grip. “You woke up, I see.” Biting his lip, he nudged his nose against your cheek.

“Yep, you were too loud and couldn't help but be disturbed.” Hearing your statement he scoffed. “Well this wasn’t what you were screaming last night though.” Snorting at his assortment your fingers ran through his hair. He bends his head down, satisfied with your action.

“And I clearly remember us not doing any sinister deeds the previous night.” He tilts his head resting his palm under your neck, lifting your frame closer to his.

“Is it? How about we make my proclamation come true and prove you wrong?” Laughter of happiness resonated the four walls as he tickled you.

“Stop please,” squirming in his hold tears accumulated in your lids. Seeing them flow down your cheeks he wipes a  lone tear trickling down your cheek. “And I could make you cry without actually making you cry out of-” whispering in your ear he leaves his statement half unspoken.

Noticing the amusement in your orbs he laid beside you resting himself against his left palm. Peering at you audaciously, challenging himself if he could fall in love with his wife more than what he already was crazy for you.

“I see what you are trying to do Jimin.” He knits his brow teasingly “Do you?” Tugging on your sleeves he grimaced crookedly. “Such a flirtatious man you are Park Jimin.”

-PRESENT-

“I’ve no one to converse with, my friends are here by my side but they aren’t you Y/N.” His gaze lands on a couple a few meters away from him, being envious of them. “That could have been us if it wasn’t for our ill fate”

-9:07 P.M.-

Unlocking the door of his house he stepped inside. Wavering at the sight of his best friend in the kitchen cooking for him. “Oh you’re back! Did you enjoy it at the amusement park?” Taehyung untied his apron, placing it on an empty chair. Plating the dishes out.

“You’re still sending spies behind me? You remember I’m a grown ass man right? Who can perfectly take care of himself?” He shrugged, gesturing to him to freshen himself up. Jimin agrees, returning clad up in his nightwear.

“You wanna sleep already? I thought we could go on a drive together.” Eating the bibimbap, he speaks in between chewing. Jimin chuckled, handing him a tissue closing his mouth.

“Don’t speak while eating.” Wiping the corner of his lips, Taehyung gingerly grinned. “I’m too tired, maybe some other day?” The former shakes his head, approving his idea. “You should stop visiting places which remind you of her.”

Glaring at him strictly he placed his chopstick aside. Gulping Jimin avoids meeting his eyes. “I wasn’t there to remember her.” In defense he retorts.

“Yeah sure, this is what you’ve been countering for the past 11 months after searching for her everywhere.”

Resuming his meal he didn’t bother knocking sense into his friend’s brain anymore. For he knew no matter what Jimin would end up finding himself searching for relief in his past memories which somewhat made him a human yet a beast craving for its beauty.
