Chapter twenty one: Teasings.
"Miss Sriya Shetty, I love you." Shubman confessed.
The world stopped for both of them at this moment, they could hear each other's breath and beating hearts in the silence.
"You love me... As-s a friend right, jaise ek...."
"I love you as a man loves a woman. I love you as my father loves my mother and I love you as Virat Bhai loves Anushka Bhabhi."
"I love you as Shubman Gill loves Sriya Shetty." He said and stepped back a little.
Sriya did nothing except to stare at him intensely.
"Shubman. Will you hug me please?" She said.
He looked back at her opening his arms wide and she jumped into his embrace. The both held eachother so tight as if they feared that the other person will vanish.
"I have seen many such dreams Shubman, if this is also a dream like then I will not be able to control myself." She said.
"I have not come this far to show you dreams. I am here to make those dreams come true." He said with faint smile never leaving his lips.
"What will I do if you forget me like the colours?" She said.
"I can forget my face in the crowd but not yours. I can't see anything except the life I have to spend with you." He said.
"Good bad however I am I only know one thing that, I love you no matter what. See, I am a simple boy from Punjab, who can only promise you love for whole life. I never ever committed myself to anyone, but Sriya I can promise you will always be my first and last commitment." He said.
"Oye yaara kuch te das, so gayi kya?" He said.
"Shubman I love you. A lot. Please don't..." She said but he cut her off in between.
"I am not hearing any insecurity Sriya. Yeh saare baatein maine bore ro raha tha isiliye nahi boli. I mean it Sriya." He said holding her face making her look up.
"Bas yaara ab toh rone lag gayi tu. Tenu samjhana toh bada mushkil hai ji." He said making her smile-laugh.
