You tapped your pencil against your head as you groaned as you looked at the computer. FRIDAY was malfunctioning, and Tony was busy as fuck, so you got stuck with breaking into FRIDAY's mainframe and fixing whatever went wrong.

And it was much more stressful than you intended it to be. You, the simple I.T. person and scientist, trying to break down how the mind of the genius Tony Stark worked. Many may say you're smart, but Tony Stark smart? Debatable.

You struggled for hours on this project for many days. It was annoying you to no extent, and you wished Tony would just get back and fix it himself, but it didn't work out like that.

And of course, as soon as it felt like you were getting somewhere, Bucky Barnes walked in.

"Can I help you?" You rolled your eyes.

"Yeah, can you smile for me?" Bucky sat on the corner of your desk.

"What he meant to say was," Steve walked in behind him, "He broke his earpiece. Do you have any extras, or are they all broken?"

You slid back in your chair and pulled a drawer out, handing Bucky another earpiece. "That's the third one this month, be a little more careful, would you?" You showed no emotion in your face, maybe a hint of annoyance.

"Only if you do me one favor," Bucky smirked, and you raised your eyebrow, "Smile, doll."

"Bucky," Your face stayed with barely any emotion, "Get out of my lab."

Bucky shot a big smile at you and strolled out of the lab. Steve quickly apologized, thanked you, and ran out after his best friend. "What the hell, Buck?" Steve whispered.

"Hmm?"

"They don't smile, you know that. We've told you how many times not to say anything to them, yet you're still doing it?" Steve was upset, but he didn't have a chance to deal with Bucky being childish. "You know what, I have work to do."

The only ones left in the base for the rest of the week were you, Clint (he was sick), Bruce, Wanda, and Bucky. Everyone else was out on a mission, and lucky you got stuck with Bucky.

Recently, he's been following you around the base. You couldn't tell if there was a reason other than being an annoyance to your everyday life, but you couldn't seem to shake him. He sat in the lab when you worked, went to the kitchen when you did, and even sat and watched T.V. with you when you had ten extra minutes. Usually, Steve would be able to get him to leave you alone for a while, but with Steve out, Bucky was always there.

You begged Bruce and Wanda to watch while Bucky was around, and Bruce covered when you were in the lab, and Wanda anywhere else you needed her. You couldn't see it, but Wanda and Bruce definitely could. They could see that Bucky had taken a great liking to you, and maybe you even returned it, but you sure didn't show it.

After a week of Bucky following you around, you wanted some alone time. You snapped; you were about to scream in his face to get him to go away. But you took a deep breath and turned around, and decided to handle this calmly.

"Bucky, leave me alone, please," You told him, "I need a break."

"On one condition," Bucky crossed his arms and leaned against the wall.

"What?"

"Smile, doll," He smirked, getting you to turn around and start to walk away, "I'm kidding," He stopped you. "Let's make a deal. We watch a few movies tonight, and I'll leave you alone."

You groaned, but it didn't actually sound like a bad deal. So you shook hands on it, "Deal."

That night you walked into the 'theater room' to find the table filled with popcorn and other random snacks. "I forgot we even had this place, geez; Tony has too much money on his hands," You mumbled to yourself.

"Just on time!" Bucky smiled at you when he walked into the room, "Come sit!"

You nodded and walked down to where Bucky was. "So, we have Netflix, and yes, I know how to use it. How does this movie look?"

"The Last Five Years?" You looked at the movie-musical.

"Yeah, I asked Wanda for some recommendations, and she said it was a good movie," Bucky shrugged, "Do you want to watch it?"

"I would love to," You sat down and grabbed some popcorn as he pressed play, and the first song, Still Hurting, started off the movie.

You made it through two more movies after The Last Five Years before you began to get tired. Your blinks were getting longer, and you were zoning out; you were going to fall asleep before you knew it. "You awake?" Bucky asked every few minutes, and he usually got a mumbled response from you.

And you were out before the fourth movie got halfway through. Bucky was tired, but not like you. You had been working your ass off to fix FRIDAY and get the security back up and running, and with almost everyone out, you have been working nights and days to get it done as quickly as possible.

Bucky had his arm around you, and you fell asleep with your head resting on his side. You took light breaths as you slept, and Bucky continued to watch the movie. But when he thought he saw something move next to you, his head snapped down to make sure you were okay.

And he was glad when he saw that you were, but he watched for a few more seconds to see if there was a bug. But alas, there was no bug, and the subtle movement he saw was your lips moving at the corners.

Forming a small smile.

Bucky's heart melted when he found out you smiled in your sleep. Then it hit him; your smile was gorgeous. Why didn't you ever smile when others were there to see it?

But right now, he didn't care. He enjoyed watching your smile go and come back; it was a lovely sight to see. And he was even happier when he realized that you might have been smiling because you were spending the night with him.

"Get up, you lazy asses!" You heard the voice of Tony Stark and felt pillows being thrown at you, "I knew it was a bad idea to leave you two alone!"

"Tony, shut up," You rubbed your eyes and pushed yourself off Bucky. He was groaning about not wanting to wake up, but when he saw you, a smile formed on his face.

"I like seeing you when I first wake up," His voice was light, and his eyes were barely open.

"Ew," Tony made gross noises and walked out of the room.

"Can you please do something for me? Just once?" Bucky pleaded.

You gave him an annoyed look; you already knew what he was going to say.

"Smile, doll," You spoke at the same time as him.

"Please?" He asked again.

"Why do you care so much, Bucky?" You scoffed and stood up.

"Did you know you smile in your sleep?" Your eyes widened because no, you did not know that, "You have a beautiful smile. I just want to see it when it isn't only lit up by a movie screen."

You shook your head and looked to Bucky, "Maybe one day."
