The drive to his house passed rather quickly like that with the occasional casual conversation, which was very nice. In his house I put down my bag in the hallway before I looked at him. "Ready?"

"Do you want something to eat first?" He asked, gesturing to his kitchen.

Chuckling, I shook my head. "No, thanks, I just had breakfast. But thank you. I promise you can feed me lunch today to make sure I eat enough."

"Good, good," he said, nodding satisfied. "We can make sandwiches for that. Do you want to go have a look at the couch?" He asked, placing his hand on my back.

"Sure, sure, let's go ahead." I smiled at him, walking a bit slower on purpose. Hopefully that would make him keep his hand on my back because to be honest I loved that feeling. I loved how his hands felt on my body, making everything tingle a little. It was hard to focus to be honest. It had the same effect on me as looking at him shirtless did. Or just looking at him in general.

However he seemed to misunderstand my intentions, because he stopped me. "Are you alright?" He asked, looking at me. "If you don't feel like working on stuff today that's perfectly fine too." He pulled me a little closer and looked at me.

"No, no, I was just somewhere else with my mind, sorry." I smiled at him, placing my hands on his arms. Any excuse to touch him, and his arms were quite nice. "Don't worry, I'm perfectly fine. I'm wonderful, actually." It did feel wonderful, with his arms wrapped around my waist. I really enjoyed being so close to him, and something made it seem like he enjoyed it too.

"Okay, that's good. If you're uncomfortable, then please tell me, alright?"

He began to gently caress my back, making me feel like a little like I was about to lose my mind. "I'm not," I told him, trying to gather my thoughts enough for a coherent conversation. How could he think I was uncomfortable with him touching me when basically all I wanted was for him to never stop touching me? "I'm very comfortable, I always am around you, don't worry." It was a spur of the moment kind of idea, I stood on my tiptoes and gently kissed his cheek. "I'm very comfortable."

With an almost adoring smile on his face, he nodded and softly kissed my forehead. Something that he used to do a lot, something that was incredibly comforting to me. "Okay. That's good to hear. Let's go?"

"Yes, let's go. I'm curious about the couch, if it fits in as nicely as we thought it would."

He let go of me so we could keep walking, but it seemed like he didn't want to stop touching me necessarily, so I felt him reaching for my hand, something that was incredibly cute, something that made my stomach flutter and my heart beat a little faster. Something that wasn't supposed to happen between two best friends, but I was pretty sure that we were past that stage already. In any case, I didn't care, I wanted to hold his hand which was why I reached for his hand and held it tightly.

I was a curious person, so I couldn't stop myself from looking at him. And when I saw that he was smiling adorably nearly made me melt. He was such a sweetheart. I squeezed his hand gently, getting him to look at me too. I didn't say anything, I just smiled back at him. He knew what I was trying to get across, and that was all that mattered.

"Maybe tomorrow or next week sometime we can get started on the path.. I thought a little more about what we could do with that, I'm going to buy the stone tiles on Monday I think, they didn't have enough in stock yesterday."

Something about how he talked about something to casual while he was holding my hand made me incredibly happy. "I love hearing your ideas," I told him, a big smile on my face.

While we walked the last few metres to the little hut, he started telling me his ideas. I told him what I thought of each idea, but when we got to the hut the conversation died off a little, or at least shifted to a different topic.
