"Yes, okay, now it makes sense. I get that actually, I know what you mean. You definitely have a point, yeah. Okay, I'll keep that in mind," I told him, smiling at him. "Thanks for telling me that, because that definitely helps. But the same goes for me, with Roger. It's a bit like this self-fulfilling prophecy, the more you say 'you'll do stuff with Roger anyway' the more I think that maybe you want that, you know?"

"Yes, I know. That also makes sense, I haven't looked at it that way before. But see, now we know that and we can work on fixing that." He smiled at me and kissed my forehead softly. "I hope you know how much you mean to me."

"I think I have a pretty good idea, yes. You mean just as much to me, you know?," I told him and smiled back at him. "I'm glad that you brought this up, you know? I think we need to learn how to really make this work. We get along great, but to make it work we need this for example, talking about whatever is wrong."

"I think so too. Maybe once a day or so we can just take a moment to talk about whatever happened that day? Something like that?" He smiled his sweet smile at me before he pulled me closer.

"Something like that sounds good, yes," I agreed and pecked his lips. "I'm so glad I have you."

"Me too," he told me with a smile. "Now, do you want to go swimming? Isn't that why you made me come all the way out here?," he teased, his smile growing.

"Yes, exactly, now come on. How far out do you think we can go?" I asked, turning to look at the open sea.

"Weren't you the one who's freaked out by the idea of swimming in lakes and oceans with fish?" He asked, wrapping his arms aorund my waist.

I shuddered a little and nodded. "Yeah, that's me. But the water here is clear, I can see if there are fish underneath me."

"You are so cute," he chuckled and kissed my cheek softly. "I'll keep my eyes out too so I can warn you."

Yes, I know Brian was amused by me, but it was true, swimming with fish, in murky water, was something that I couldn't stand. The idea of being in the open ocean with miles of water underneath me with god knew how many creepy creatures was not something I wanted. And even this close to the coast the thought of fish around my feet freaked me out a little. Maybe not just a little. I always had to be able to see below my feet in the water, or else I wouldn't go swimming. There was no discussion there, nothing could convince me otherwise.

"You were right actually, the water isn't so cold, it's very nice once you get used to it," he told me, swimming ahead.

"See, I told you. You can be a bit of a wimp sometimes, you know?" I teased, smirking at him.

"Me?" He asked indignantly and turned around. "You call me a wimp but you're the one who doesn't want to swim with fish," he chuckled, shaking his head.

"Swimming with fish is creepy, cold water isn't, it's as simple as that," I told him, gently splashing him with water.

"Alright, alright," he gave in amused. "As long as you're happy being with a wimp I don't mind."

I chuckled and caught up with him, wrapping my arms around him. "Of course I'm happy with you. And you're only a wimp when it comes to water temperatures, I know that, don't worry. You're a hero in every other aspect." I kissed his cheek softly and smiled at him.

"A hero? I wouldn't go that far. But I'm glad you don't think I'm a completely wimp, I wouldn't like that."

"No, of course not. I was just teasing you, you know? I think you're wonderful the way you are, exactly the way you are." I wrapped my arms around him and pecked his lips.
