We continued our way through the village on the lookout for someone who could help us. Anyone at all. Not a lot of people seemed to be living here. We had to keep making our way through these incredibly narrow streets, and hope the car wouldn't get stuck. Otherwise we'd have a huge problem. I took a deep breath and tried to relax, trying not to make Brian more nervous about the situation than necessary. He wouldn't like it, I knew that.

Eventually there was someone we saw coming out of one of the narrowly build houses and immediately Brian stopped and rolled down the window. "¿Perdon señor?" He asked, a hint of nervousness swinging in his voice that you could only detect if you knew him.

Luckily the man stopped and turned to look at us. "¿?"

"Uhm... ¿hay un hotel aqui?" Brian asked, making me smile. He was such a smart one.

The man seemed to have understood him because he replied something in very quick Spanish, something that I couldn't have followed even if I had tried. Luckily it was a different story for Brian because he nodded, apparently understanding what he was telling him. It didn't take much longer before both Brian and the man nodded and then he walked away while Brian rolled up the window and turned to me again.

"There is a hotel here," he informed me with a smile.

"Ah that's great, wonderful. Do you know where we have to go?"

"I should, yes. But be patient, I don't know how soon we'll get there, but we will find it," he said in a determined tone and continued to drive. It was hard to keep up with where exactly he was going and part of me was getting a little worried that we wouldn't be able to find our way out of here again. But then this was just a very small village so somehow we would have to be able to leave again.

After a few turns from one narrow street into the next we seemed to have reached a dead end leading up to a house.

"This is what he described to me, wonderful. I can't believe we found it," he told me and turned off the car when he had parked on one of the parking spots in front of the house. "Let's go have a look at what this thing is then." He got out of the car and hurried around to my side to open the door for me like the gentleman he usually was.

"Thank you very much. Do you want me to bring the dictionary?" I asked him and leaned down to grab my handbag from the bench.

It took a moment before Brian replied. "Mhm, yes... I think that would be good. You know, those shorts are pretty tight..."

I straightened up and turned around, raising my eyebrows. "And how do you know that, hm?" I teased and nudged his side.

He blushed a tiny bit and shrugged. "Well, I may have looked, but don't judge me if you go bending over right in front of me. You should know what that reminds me of.."

"You should just try to be a bit less dirty minded, then there wouldn't be a problem," I told him and pecked his lips. "Let's go inside and have a look if you can handle it. Maybe you should go first so you're not in danger of being distracted."

Brian chuckled and nodded. "Alright, alright. Who knows what we'll encounter, maybe it is better if I go first. It looks a bit dingy if I'm honest..."

"It's not that bad, come on. Some of the other houses look a lot worse." I placed my hand on his back and gently urged him forward. "Plus, do we have any other options? You didn't want to sleep in the car so go ahead, let's have a look."

"Fine," Brian gave in and walked towards what seemed to be the entrance of the hotel. Not that anything about this building gave away that this was in fact a hotel. "Are you sure about this?"
