Okay so a short note before you start reading, it goes for this and the rest of the chapters that are set in Tenerife. There will be Spanish in here which I've most not translated because this is Henrie's POV and she doesn't speak Spanish. But if you don't speak Spanish I've made sure that if something important was said in Spanish it will also appear in the English text somehow so you're not missing anything. And there are mistakes both in the English and the Spanish bits, but that's on purpose. I've tried to give the Spanish-speakers a bit of an accent, and even though Brian speaks a little Spanish it's clearly not perfect which I've tried to put across. You may not care about those things, but if you do, then you know now :) I won't keep you any longer, I hope you'll enjoy the chapters to come!

Oh, and thanks to MoreThanIHaveLoved for all the help with the Spanish! 💕

The plane landed securely on the airport in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, and the entire time I was leaning across Brian so that I could look out of the window. It was amazing to see the island and everything on it go from miniatures to full size within minutes. Brian was amused by how fascinated I was, but I didn't really care. The landing itself was a bit rough, but when the plane slowly rolled to a stop, Brian looked at me with a big smile. "Welcome to Tenerife, my dear," he said and kissed my cheek.

"Thank you. This is so exciting," I told him, smiling widely.

"It really is. So my friend Carlos is going to meet us here, at the airport, and then we're going pick up the car and then he's going show us to our holiday house.."

"That sounds good to me. Do you know him from your studies?" I looked at him and reached for his hand.

"Yes, he works at the observatory, and he was translating for us a lot of the time. We get along really well." Brian smiled at me and kissed my cheek softly.

"I'm so curious to see everything and meet everyone you know." I rested my head on his shoulder sighed softly. "My handsome boyfriend.."

"Oh stop it," he chuckled. "We should get going," he said, referring to the fact that other passengers were already leaving the plane.

"Yes, we should..." I nodded and got up, gathering the few things that I had on the plane with me, waiting for him to follow me.

"You know, you look very nice today. I don't think I've told you that yet." He got up and smiled widely at me.

Smiling widely, I reached for his hand. "Thank you. You're very sweet."

"I try my best," he said and gave my hand a little squeeze. "Now c'mon, let's go."

Hand in hand we excited the plane we were met by the intense warmth of sunrays on our skin. It was a strong contrast to the cool air of the airplane, and I couldn't take a lot of it before I took off the thin cardigan I had worn during the flight. Brian didn't comment on that, but the looks he was giving me told me that he didn't have a problem with me taking off clothes.

Hand in hand we walked inside the airport building where it was a bit cooler again. "Does it still look familiar?" I asked him, smiling widely when I saw how excited he was.

"Very, yes. I can't believe I'm back again. With you." He smiled widely and stopped me to give me a quick kiss.

"Brian!" An unfamiliar voice with a distinguishable Spanish accent interrupted our moment.

Immediately Brian turned around and smiled widely at the man who was approaching us. "Carlos! ¿Cómo estás?" He let go of my hand so that he could go greet his friend with a hug, one of those man-hugs where they pat each other on the back a few times.
