Human au

a poem for Magnus Bane:

The boy next door

We met in a school yard.
My blue eyes seek your lost hazel ones
They finally met and you look away
Too embarrassed to be looking at the loser.
Months past and your hazel eyes start seeking my lost blue ones
Your cheeks flush whenever we stare for more than a second
But by then your "friends" have dragged you away
But our eyes will meet again.
Soon we start talking.
Well more of you talking to me
But our conversations were a nice "hello" before you invited me over.
The night at your house went a little bit farther than we both expected
But we would never regret that night.
That Monday I came to school as "yours"
Most of your friends left but you didn't seem to care.
You seemed so happy with me.
After a few months
You were moving.
Our blooming connection was soon to be broken.
I secretly cried out a river and drowned myself in the tears.
But something wouldn't let me drown.
The day you left someone moved into the empty house beside mine.
He had your beautiful tan skin and your vibrant hair
Then I noticed the boy was you.
Then you became
The boy next door
