Short but sad chapter
It was all too fast. Like a flash of lighting, a blur before my eyes. There he lays on the pavement. His lump body laying against the brick corner of a dark alley way. Kneeling to his side, I intertwine my fingers with his. The blue flames swirl between us. I push all my strength into him, but it's not enough. I feel his energy slowly dying away.
Thump
Thump
Thump....
Then there was nothing left. The steady pitter patter of his heartbeat had faded.
"No Alexander! Don't leave me!"
I pound my fist against the brick wall. My knuckles start to bruise and drip with blood, but I don't feel any of the pain. My salty tears mix with the water falling from the sky.
