I knocked echoed through my house. I bounced down the spiral staircase to open the two wide front doors. There I see my lover, Magnus Bane. He's not very great, but he cares about me and that's all I need at the moment.
You turned my heart into a puppet show
"Alexander." He bowed pulling out roses behind his back. I smile politely and set them on the side table. I made a quick mental reminder to put them in the vase with all the other roses I have.

He takes my hand and leads me into my ballroom. He plays a beautiful symphony and we start swaying together. His hand moves lower down my waist. My breathing hitches, but he doesn't seem to notice. I bury my face deeper in his neck.
One day, the very first date

The song finally finishes and we pull away awkwardly. He looks through his jacket pocket anxiously until he finally find what's he's looking for. He pulls out a velvet box and gets down on one knee.
He could be the one to say
"Will you marry me?"
