"I know this is our last summer, and we should be doing stuff. I'm bored, but I refuse to leave this garage." Luke mutters, shifting in his seat to get more comfortable.

"Stop! Guys, come on!" Chloe whines, "I want us to go do something!"

"Let's plan a trip for all of us. Just drive a few hours and spend a weekend. I know we're all struggling with money for college, but we should do this. It could be the last time we all do something together." Jada says.

"Don't say that!" Chloe exclaims, not wanting to think about it.

"Well you never know!" Jada defends.

"All of you stop." Calum groans, hating this conversation.

Jada sighs, "You know what, Chloe, come with me."

"Babe, where are you going?" Luke questions, reaching out to try and grab his girlfriend after she quickly gets up.

Jada ignores him, grabbing Chloe's hand as the two walk out of the garage without saying another word to each other.

Michael couldn't help but laugh as Chloe and Jada, with a laptop in hand, came rushing up the driveway. They walk through the open garage door, hours after they left without any reason.

"Boston. We're going to Boston together. We're going in two weeks. Okay?" Jada tells them.

Luke quickly looks up, "Babe-"

"Luke, no." Jada interrupts, not wanting him to object.

"This is happening. I don't care what you have to say. We're going to kidnap you. We're going in a couple weeks. Clear your schedules, okay?" Chloe informs them, not letting any of them say anything about it.

The two girls sit with their friends, who are all a bit confused still.

"I have no idea what's going on but I'm fucking excited!" Calum exclaims, smiling at the two.

"That's what I like to hear! Come on, guys! It'll be fun!" Chloe yells, trying to get them excited.

Jada sighs, starting to get disappointed, "I have family there, they have a rental house available for us for almost a week. That already saves us the money we would've spent on a place! Come on! Laura?"

Laura smiles at her, "I mean, yeah. I'm in."

"Great! Luke, baby?" Jada asks, looking over at her boyfriend.

He shrugs, knowing he can't say no to her, "I guess so, yeah, I'll go."

Chloe looks at Jada, before looking at Michael, "Michael? Will you join?"

He chuckles, "Why not?"

Chloe smiles, "Ashton, you're the only one-"

"Obviously I'll come." He laughs, interrupting her.

"Yes! We're all going on a road trip!" Jada exclaims, giving Chloe a high five.

The girls were so glad they were able to quickly pull this together, and were able to guilt all their friends into going.

"It'll be about a five hour drive. I'm gonna drive the girls, Michael, you've got the guys, yeah?" Jada says, looking over at Michael.

"Uh, yeah. Yeah. Sure." Michael replies.

Laura just looked up at Michael, a huge smile across her face, "I love you."

Michael gives her a confused look, not sure where that came from, lightly chuckling, "I love you too."

As the group talked about their plans for the trip they were now going to take, Michael and Laura were having their own conversation.

"I don't know what to tell my mom." Laura tells him, starting to now worry about this trip.

Michael weakly smiles at her, "Hey, babe, don't worry. We'll figure it out, okay?"

Laura nods, trying to calm down. She hated that she was stressed about this. And she hated the fact that she felt like she was bother Michael when talking about it made her stress more.

"Laur? Hey, we're gonna try and spend a day together, us girls. You okay with that?" Chloe asks.

"Yeah, for sure." Laura smiles at them, cuddling closer to Michael.

"Don't worry guys, we'll plan out everything." Chloe tells them all, Jada nodding along with her statement.

Michael and Laura were cuddled up in his bed. They were just listening to his music, talking about whatever came to mind.

"Are you excited, to go on the trip with them?" Michael asks.

"Yeah, of course. Why wouldn't I?" Laura replies, pressing a kiss to his cheek before cuddling back into him.

"I mean, you were worried there at Calum's when they brought it up. I just wanted to make sure you're okay." Michael tells her.

Laura smiles, "Yeah. I'll figure it out though. I mean, at this point they can't stop me. I don't know what they're going to do about it if they aren't happy. They can't kick me out, I'm leaving at the end of summer."

"Are you sure?" Michael asks.

"Babe, it's okay. I want to go. Everything will be okay. I love you. I love our friends. All I want is to go and be with everybody." She replies.

Michael wasn't sure if she was telling the truth. But he didn't want to push her. Though they've been together for a while, Laura didn't talk about her family much. Pressuring her to wasn't something he wanted to do.

"I love you, Laur. As long as you're okay, I'm very excited about this trip." Michael tells her, a yawn slipping past his lips.

Laura lightly chuckles, "Go to sleep, babe. I can get myself home."

Michael shakes his head, though his eyes slowly close. He relaxed into Laura. She couldn't help but smile as she runs her hand through his hair.

As he slept, Laura was texting Chloe, because she didn't want to leave Michael yet. Even though he was sleeping, she'd rather be with him than go home.

She smiled down at him sleeping, "I love you, babe, so much. Goodnight."

I know this wasn't much, sorry guys. BUT IN OTHER NEWS. I SAW SHAWN MENDES AND LAUV ON SATURDAY. IT WAS INSANE. I SAW GRETA VAN FLEET AND FOO FIGHTERS YESTERDAY. IT WAS ALSO INSANE.

i figure here is a good place to add this is to comment on the comments throughout the book about my concerts LMAO the a/n above seeing all those ppl is bc i went to a music festival! yall i did absolutely nothing with my life for years. any money i had was for concerts and literally nothing else. also this book was written over THREE years so I didnt see all of them that i mention in the same year or anything!! but I am aware I have been to A LOT and super grateful for it!
