Chapter Fifteen: Vacation

After about a week of going to music shows to promote Jealousy, Monsta X was given vacation time. It was only five days, but that was pretty long considering the lack of rest most k-pop idols were given. After the vacation, Monsta X would be leaving for a tour in the United States.

I needed the break too, I had avoided getting pranked or harassed by the female idol groups; but work was not easy. Most of the girls I came in contact with either ignored me or were rude.

"I have a surprise for you all." The manager said after Monsta X's last music show performance. They had won an award for Jealousy, and everyone was still in a celebratory mood. "The company is very proud of everything you've accomplished. So we've decided to send you guys on a proper vacation."

Everyone gasped, even myself. I had barely been working for a month and I was already being sent on a vacation.

"Really?" Changkyun asked, "This isn't a prank, is it?"

"This is not a prank." The manager chuckled, "We're really going to send you on vacation for the next couple of days."

"Where to?" Minhyuk asked excitedly.

"Well it starts with an H..." The manager smiled at them.

"Hong Kong?" Wonho guessed.

"Hollywood?" Hyungwon guessed.

"We're sending you all to Hawaii!" The manager said excitedly.

The boys all cheered, I cheered as well. I had never been to Hawaii. I high-fived a couple of the guys blindly before thinking of all the things I could.

'But I'll be working, so I can't exactly be too into vacation mode.'

"Jiyeon can show us around! She went to college in Hawaii, right Jiyeon?" Jooheon smiled at me.

"Uh...." I started to say.

'Shit, they remembered that?"

"Well, which island are we visiting?" I asked the manager. "My college was on Oahu, so..."

"Oahu." He smiled.

'Shit.'

"Did I say Oahu?" I laughed, "I meant Hawaii. My college was on the main island, always wanted to go to Oahu!"

'Nailed it.' I thought, mentally patting myself on the back. 'I'm a lying machine.'

"So we can explore it together!" Wonho smiled at me, "It's a first for all of us."

"You guys should pack right away, the flight leaves tonight!" The manager smiled at them, genuinely happy to be delivering such good news to the boys.

We rushed to pack. I rustled through all of the stuff in my suitcase, noticing I was running low on things. I decided I would need to go back to my mom's house to get some other belongings I might need.

"I'm going back to my mom's to pack." I told everyone, grabbing my suitcase. "I'll be back in like an hour."

"Wait! I'll go with you." Wonho suggested, coming to stand next to me.

"It's okay, I don't need help." I said.

"I want to go somewhere afterwards anyway, so I'll just tag along." He smiled. "I finished packing already."

Wonho and I took a taxi to my mom's apartment. When I knocked on the door, I was a bit flustered about her seeing me with Wonho.

'What if she thinks he's my boyfriend?'
