Third POV

She stood in front of the building, a smile on her face. In a matter of hours, they would all be reunited again.

Of course she couldn't just do this the simple way.

Jiyeon didn't want to just show up at Starship and surprise the boys. That would be far too boring.

No. She wanted to show up here. Today.

It was Monsta X's fansign event, and Jiyeon was lucky to get in. She had to compete with thousands of other fans that wanted to attend, somehow (perhaps by fate) she made it at the top of the list. And she didn't even have to bribe anyone!

While she admired the building, and the posters of the members, people who past by couldn't help but stare at the scar that decorated her shoulder.

Two girls muttered to each other, "Is that a..."

"Yeah, I think it's a scar," Her eyes narrowed.

"Why is it a circle though?" The friends were stumped, staring at Jiyeon's shoulder for a good, long moment, before coming to the realization. It soon dawned upon them that the injury came from a bullet, and they gasped before scurrying off.

Jiyeon glanced over her shoulder at their over-the-top reaction before returning her attention to the building. The scar that embellished her shoulder brought a lot of attention, but she didn't mind. In fact, she showed it off on purpose, because it wouldn't be normal to walk around with her medal around her neck 24/7.

That's why today she wore a silky, pink, off-the-shoulder dress.

"Oh, I better get in line," Jiyeon muttered as she noticed the mob that was forming outside of the building

"Oh, I better get in line," Jiyeon muttered as she noticed the mob that was forming outside of the building.

She didn't need a great seat. In fact, she'd seen the boys perform with possibly the best view more often than not, but she didn't want to be left out.

It had been a while since Jiyeon last spoke with Monsta X; too long for comfort, actually. The precise last time she saw the boys was back at the hospital. Since then, she had neither heard from them nor seen them. Jiyeon felt at fault, too, because she couldn't build up the courage to call them.

After all, it was their fault they were all kidnapped. If she came into contact with them, who knows what bad things might happen?

But now she's thrown out that fear, and decided to see them again.

She missed Monsta X every moment of every day until she could buy the flight back to Korea. After she tied up any lose strings, she upended her life in America in order to live in Korea full time. With the cash reward she received for arresting The Boss, she could live comfortably for a very long time.

Unbeknownst to Jiyeon, the boys missed her, too. They couldn't contact her because of their busy schedules...

There were many times that one member would pick up the phone and dial Jiyeon's number... but they weren't sure what to say. And often times their manager would snatch the phone away, because they had a show or practice to get back to.

Even today, as the boys sat backstage to prepare for the fan event, they couldn't stop thinking about their former bodyguard.

'Is she okay?' Jooheon wondered, adjusting his tie.

'I hope she's happy,' Wonho thought, a stylist doing the finishing touches of his makeup.

'Why hasn't she called me yet?' Hyungwon wondered.

"Alright guys, it's showtime." The manager smiled.

Minhyuk tapped his pen on the table, the fan in front of him got up to move on to Kihyun. He was happy, of course, because he loved being with his fans. But in the back of his head, he regretted leaving Jiyeon so quickly after she was shot. They should have at least waited until after her surgery, just to make sure she was okay.

Now Minhyuk spent every night wondering if Jiyeon was even alive. Sure, everyone saw her on the news, and they knew she won a super important medal.

But he still couldn't help but worry.

Minhyuk zoned out until a fan slipped a poster across the table to him. He glanced up, noticing the fan's face was obscured by a wide-brimmed hat. Usually this was the fan's chance to ask any question they desired, but this girl was oddly tight-lipped.

'She must be shy,' he thought, smiling.

Minhyuk signed his name quickly, "And what's your name?" he asked, flashing his signature smile.

"Jiyeon." She replied.

Minhyuk froze. He knew that name, he recognized that name. In fact, this girl's voice sounded familiar too. Minhyuk stared with wide eyes at her. She looked up slowly, revealing her face.

"J...Jiyeon!" He yelled, a smile on his face.

He caught the attention of everyone at the table, the fans and the other members looked over at the sudden outburst. Monsta X's faces lit up, while the fans looked at her quirked brows, trying to mask their jealousy. The manager hurried over once he recognized Jiyeon, leading her backstage before any more of a commotion could be caused.

"Welcome back," The manager laughed, "You're always causing a scene, aren't you?"

Jiyeon shrugged, smiling.

"I'm just glad to be back."
