I couldn't seem to wipe this huge smile off of my face. I've been flying high on cloud nine ever since Jiyeon returned to Korea. Just having her around boosted my mood. She was like the sun, and I was a sunflower.

Hopefully this was god's sign that we were supposed to be together. So I decided to take this as my chance to set the record straight.

It didn't feel right leaving Jiyeon behind in America.

I mean, she had just been shot! And we had just been kidnapped, on top of that! But she said we should go, so we left.

We weren't in our right minds...

Monsta X had our careers waiting for us here in Korea, and Jiyeon had hers there in America.

I spent months worrying we would never see her again. Sometimes I would have nightmares that Jiyeon had forgotten all about us. That was my biggest fear.

But fate brought us back together.

Everything was falling into place for me now.

All I had left to wait for was this one phone call...

You see, I've been keeping a little secret from everyone. And I feel bad for hiding it, but I have to.

I was going to release solo album. Or, at least, I hoped I would.

I knew I could rap well, I knew I wrote good lyrics.

But I just needed a little something to push me forward.

And I decided that "something" was going to be a celebrity feature.

I spent a while mulling over who to ask. At first, I was going to ask an American rapper to feature on the song, someone like Travis Scott. But I thought it would be too impersonal, and American rappers were not inclined to work well with us K-pop artists. There were so many stark cultural difference between American and Korean music anyway.

So that's when I decided to ask her.

Former Rania member, Alex Reid.

She had experience working in the Korean pop industry, so I thought she would be the perfect feature on my title song. A couple of days ago, I emailed her manager and asked if she would be willing to work with me.

Now I was just waiting for the call back.

I hadn't told anyone about the solo, especially because I was worried it would fall though.

If her manager called and said she wasn't interested, then it would be embarrassing. Then I would have to search for someone else to feature on the song. It would be a total mess if that happened.

Today I was waiting for the call from Alex's manager. And my phone felt like it was burning a hole in my pocket, my hands itching to pick it up.

"Stop zoning out, we need to practice," Wonho said, snapping his fingers in front of my face. He paused to stare apprehensively at me, "You're distracted today."

"N-no I'm not!" I replied quickly, although I knew I wasn't convincing.

Wonho laughed, slinging his beefy arm around my shoulder, "You know, if you're going to win Jiyeon over, you're going to have to stay on your toes. Otherwise, I'll win."

I scoffed, "Game on."

'Speaking of which...'

I looked around to find Jiyeon, spotting her following behind us to come watch our practice.
