Four weeks past by and Millie hadn't heard anything from Jesse or Dex, she knew they'd been in Japan for a few weeks but still hoped to hear from Dex. Ricco's words never left her head, maybe he'll talk to you once it's not so raw, every day she woke up hoping that enough time had passed that he might feel able to talk to her. She had accepted that he didn't want to be with her anymore but she needed closure, she needed to explain herself and she needed to end it in a way that she could move on. Not the way they left it.
She'd kept herself busy but not a day had passed that she'd not been just a button click away from trying to call Dex and pleading with him to give it another go. Sat in her car about to leave work she scrawled through the internet looking at fan photos of Dex in Japan, it made her feel even worse every single time but she couldn't help it. She couldn't let go of him yet. She hated the fact that he was free, he could do whatever he wanted with whoever he wanted and that thought made Millie feel sick.

She couldn't help but look at pictures of Jesse too, she felt some jealousy seeing him posing with fans too. There was still something about him, he was no Dex but still she knew she had feelings for him. As she was looking through the pictures her phone rang.

"Hi babe" said Millie
"Alright doll?" replied Ricco
"Yeah, I'm ok" she replied, unenthusiastically
"I'll be home soon, do you wanna come to mine for dinner?" he asked
"Uh, yeah ok" she replied, she wasn't really in the mood to be social but she needed a cuddle more than anything and he was one of the only men in her life that she knew wouldn't ever hurt her.
"You'll probably get there before me, I'll be there as soon as I can" said Ricco
"Ok babe" replied Millie
"See you soon" she added

As the lift opened into Ricco's lavish apartment the table was already set for dinner and someone was in the kitchen.

"You beat me home in the end then babes" said Millie, throwing her denim jacket and handbag down on the sofa, she headed round the counter into the kitchen to give Ricco a cuddle.

"OH MY GOD JESSE! What are you doing here?" she jumped as he walked out of the kitchen area, she couldn't help but look him up and down, he was wearing super tight black skinny jeans that left nothing to the imagination! And a white fitted shirt, unbuttoned half way down to reveal some tanned chest, his gorgeous thick dark hair looked as if it had been gelled, his long fringe up on top of his head, he was clean shaven for once, Millie had never seen him look so good. He was usually a bit scruffy, a bit rough around the edges, that's what she was always so attracted to but this was the best she had ever seen him look, he no longer looked like a druggie, or an alcoholic, he looked clean! And tidy and like he'd really got his shit together! He looked like a model.

"I owed you! I wanted to come and say thank you and that I'm sorry I fucked up things with you and Dex" he stepped towards her cautiously, wanting to hug her but unsure if he should.

Millie walked towards him and wrapped her arms around his neck.
"You look incredible" she whispered in his ear. He smiled
"Thank you, so do you" he said quietly, cautious of not over stepping the mark and making her run again.

"Millie I'm really sorry about what happened with you and Dex, I never meant to split you up! My head was all over the place, I should have never made a move on you" he said

"It wasn't just you, it was a lot of things, the lifestyle, the press stories. I'm not convinced some of those stories weren't true" she said

"None of them were true, Mil. He didn't cheat on you, I can promise you that" said Jesse.
"The things I used to tell you he was doing was all just to wind you up, I've never seen him cheat, not ever, it was usually me doing the things I said he was doing"

"It's too little, too late Jess. But I appreciate your honesty" replied Millie, half heartbroken, half relieved.

At least Dex was the man she thought he was, the loving, devoted, honest boyfriend. It made her feel worse about what she had done to him but it was in the past now, none of it mattered anymore.
