it's been a week after new year's eve and i'm hating school more than ever. january is the month where midterm testing starts and i despise it with a passion. i was sitting in my english class with my head down. i was waiting for the bell to ring so that i can finally leave this hell hole.
i looked at my phone from my lap and texted madison.
my baby
did you finish your test?
yes, i've never hated united states history more in my life
i want to leave already i hate it here

the moment testing is done i'm going to a party
oh god
there's one this saturday leilani and i are going
you should go
i'm not feeling a party this week

the bell rings and we all place our tests on top of the teacher's desk before walking out of class. i see madison from afar with leilani. she takes a look at me and smiles before leaving madison.
"hey." i smile and give her a peck on the lips.
"why don't you wanna go to the party?" she asks me with pouty eyes.
i smile at her face and sling my arm over her shoulder. "because babe i'm not in the mood for a party, but you can go. you should have fun with your friends." i tell her and she sighs before nodding.
"are you sure?" she asks me as we walk towards my car.
"i'm positive." i respond as i open the door for her and she gets in with a smile.
