~ The things you say about others, say alot about you.

Amyrah

"Have we met before? You look awfully familiar!"

Confusion etched on their faces. Aunt looked uncomfortable for some kind of reason, but she just smiled politely and said, "You look familiar too."

"I am Azreena, Shehzad's mother," she said kindly. I noticed aunt's face pale, but she quickly composed herself.

Bushra whispered saying that we should stand up when greeting her and the others nervously nodded. I just gave them a 'duh' look. She then stamped on my foot making me jump up. Thankfully no one noticed.

As the four of us stood up, Shehzad's mother laughed saying we didn't have to stand up. I couldn't help but say, "See, told you Bushra!"

Too bad. The next minute I was met with silent glares and stares. Why!!?

Shehzad's mother's eyes twinkled with laughter. She then  asked, looking at me, "What's your name?" I replied with a smile, "Amyrah."

"Amyrah?" She mused. "Hm." Squinting her eyes, she stared at me for a few seconds, then aunt gave a huge cough.

Aunt then said, "Sister, can I please have some water?" I looked at aunt with confusion. Why is she acting wierd? Nonetheless Mrs. Malik smiled and handed her a glass.

Then she came back and continued asking our names, after a double look at me.

"Bushra." For that she replied with a, "What a lovely name!" Bushra slightly reddened.

"Zehra." She slightly dismissed her hand saying, "Ah I know you. Zameer's sister."

"Humaira." She then said, "Ooo!"

And like that we spoke for a few minutes. Until Shehzad's sisters made their presence. I stared hard at them, analyzing them from head to toe. Shahla, whom I already know from school and the older one who looks um... pregnant?

"Mumma." The little girl came towards her with a questioning look. In response her mother gave her a smile.

I couldn't help but stare at her dreamily. I waved my hand slowly calling her. She tilted her head in question. I grinned and patted the seat next to me. After staring at me for a few seconds, she shrugged and walked over. Smart kid.

I shrieked looking at my friends, "She's coming! Oh wow!" They simply rolled their eyes.

She hopped next to me, her legs folded and she looked at me blinking. Without thinking twice I kissed her cheek, hugging her from the side asking, "What's your name, sweetie?" She replied cutely, "Hania. You can call me baby." I giggled.

"Wow. So how old are you?"

In reply, she showed her five fingers and said, "Baby's birthday will be soon. Baby is a big girl now!" I laughed.

Then together the two of us started speaking non stop.

Unaware that almost everyone was staring at me. After a while, when I looked up, my eyes caught a thoughtful Zameer, who looked away quickly. Shehzad looked nervously, his eyes casted down and left, right and left, right and down, just like a rhythm. Maybe I am thinking too much?
