Trees rocked in warning, their interweaved limbs appeared like extended arms beneath the porcelain ghost moon. Growls coming out from the dark like she conjectured them. The fierce wind whipped at the hood of her raven cloak, tearing it away from it's bound, not a sentry anymore to the numbing arctic attack of winter. Fear heightening and each breath entangled, creating fog.
Her heart pounded hard in her chest, but she won't give up, she's come a long way to do that. With more force, she bolted down the dark path of nothingness, willing her feet to reach an esoteric, enigmatic location. She won't stay married to that stranger her father decided to get her married to while she was there fighting for her life on a hospital bed! How dare he do that to her? Her hatred for him intensified tenfold...
The endless chase came to a screeching halt, her voice letting out a high-pitched strident yelp at the unforeseen scene. Standing in front of her is none other than her reinvigorated incubus, her husband. She is not the least bit afraid of him but the man vowed to her father to stay married to her till eternity.
"Seems like we are destined to be cloaked in the ominous darkness." His cruel smile, the danger gliding off it had her gulping. The desperate words she willed her mind to get out didn't get discharged. Her "Whatever, Police Officer" abandoned her.
