I sat up in shock. My breathing was heavy and irregular when I suddenly felt a presence next to me. I instinctively grabbed the hand that was going to touch me but when I looked back to find out who it was my heart sank.
"Aww! Achlys! You're... Hurting me..." Said jinx in a strained voice while struggling to get her arm out of my hold.
I suddenly let go and realized I had bruised her arm. My eyes widened at the sight of jinx hurt.
"No no ...no. I'm sorry ... I didn't ..."
I stood up with my hands trembling when I suddenly felt a pull. Looking back, i tore the IV out of my arm and ran out.
"Achlys!-"
Jinx was suddenly held back by Viktor.
"Let her go."
"But i need to tell her I'm not mad! It was an accident."
"Jinx." He said in a stern voice.
He gave me some ice and put it over my arm.
"Take care of that first. I'll go talk to her."

"Evolution can be scary sometimes don't you think?"
I turned around to find Viktor.
"Stay back. I don't wanna hurt you too..."
Viktor began laughing as he sat next to me.
"We both know my time is limited... So does it really matter?"
I looked at him and back down at my hands.
"I didn't mean to... I didn't know she was there..."
A hand put itself on my shoulder.
"She knows. She made the mistake to surprise you and you reacted instinctively." He said looking at me with sympathy. " If i might add, your reflexes were impressive."
I chuckled and looked back at him.
"Thanks." I said.
"For what? Giving you the opportunity to kill me in silence?"
I rolled my eyes and took his hands.
"Thank you for being with us. I appreciate your help."
He looked at me and put his hand on my forehead.
"Are you sick? Achlys thanking me? No no no something must be wrong." He said sarcastically.
I chuckled and pushed his hand away.
"Aw come on man! You ruined it!" I said laughing.
He laughed a bit with me before falling back into silence.
"You should go get jinx, she's worried about you."
"Yeah ... I probably should. Need a ride home?" I asked opening my arms.
He waved his hand no and stood up. I looked down at his leg then back at him.
"What is it?"
"Oh ... Nothing. See you later." I said walking off.
