Chapter 31

I washed myself off and looked at my scar on my face. I sighed and got back out clothed.

"No wounds Vicky." I said teasingly knowing he hates Jinx's nickname for him.

"Do not call me Vicky. Sit down."

"Yessir." I said sarcastically before sitting down and looking at him.

He brought a needle towards me.

"I'm going to take a blood sample and see if i recognize what it could be."

"I doubt it."

He stopped and looked back at me.

"How so...?" He asked with a concerned look.

"It was the only dose and he made it specifically for me... I doubt you'd be able to recognize an unknown substance. Father gifts right? Never gonna know what you're gonna get..."

The door suddenly burst open.

"CAN U KNOCK?!" Yelled Viktor at jinx as she hugged me.

"Why would I knock Vicky?! You told me to come!" She yelled back at him, her head still against my chest and arms around my waist.

I looked back at Viktor surprised as he looked away.

"You invited her?" I asked.

"Eh... I thought you might've wanted her to be here... That's all." He said looking away.

A small smile appeared on my face as i hugged jinx back. I looked up at Viktor and mouthed "thank you" to him. He looked surprised but nodded back.

"Jinx... I have something to tell you."

"Hm?"

She looked up at me confused as i sat her down.

"My father ... Injected me with something before i killed him."

"What...?"

"We don't know what it is and seeing as empathy and kindness we're not qualities of my father, i fear the worst... I just want you to be prepared."

"What are you saying...?" She asked looking at me concerned.

Viktor took a step forward.

"Achlys might -"

I looked at Viktor with eyes telling him to stop.

" ... Be sick... we don't know what that syringe contained." He continued.

"What? No! You can't ..." She said putting her hands on my face.

"I know. I'll be fine. Don't worry okay?" I said caressing her cheek.

"You're gonna be careful right?"

I nodded.

"Hm.. okay. Oh! I forgot Vi!" She said running out the door.

Viktor's gaze came back to me after Jinx ran out.

"You should've told her." He said.

"That i can possibly be dying? No. She'd go crazy."

"You're right... But she's your Lover." He said in a saddened tone.

"That's exactly why I didn't do it. She doesn't need to worry about me. All i want is to spend time with her like i usually do. "

I passed him and stopped next to him as he started talking.

"Be careful."

I smiled a bit as i looked down and put my hand on his shoulder.

"Thank you for caring."
