Chapter 38

I turned around to find Vi behind me.

"You stayed...?"

"Yeah... It's not like i can leave y'all unmonitored. You'd probably get yourself in trouble again." I said looking away.

She suddenly hugged me. My eyes widened.

"That must've been hard..." She whispered.

I chuckled and hugged her back.

"Not really... You guys are my real family."

Vi's eyes widened but melted into a smile.

"I'm glad you stayed." She whispered.

I slowly backed off.

"Me too."

I felt someone caressing my head. I opened my eyes slowly.

"Hey sweet cheeks..." Said a familiar soft voice.

My eyes shot wide open. She smiled at me and caressed my face.

"You're ... Alive..."

"Of course I'm alive. I promised I'd never leave right?" She said kissing me softly.

I smiled at her.

"But ... I saw you ..." I whispered.

"Can I tell you a secret?" She whispered back.

I nodded. She took a scalpel and cut the palm of her hand.

"ACHLYS WHAT THE HELL?!" I yelled taking her hand.

My eyes widened as i watched the wound close up.

"How'd you do that?"

"My father's injection..."

They laid down in bed, Achlys gently stroking Jinx's hair as she had fallen asleep. She looked up at the ceiling lost in thoughts.

Piltover eventually stopped attacking Zaun understanding they'd never be able to defeat an immortal enemy and certainly not now that Rewind had betrayed them.

Achlys and Jinx were seen as the leaders of Zaun, City of life. The new city who rose from it's ashes was now more prosperous than ever. A city mixed with metal and nature living in perfect harmony.

"Vicky?"

"Yes?" He responded.

My eyes widened as a smirk appeared on my face.

"Ugh get over it." He said pissed off as usual.

I chuckled and pushed my research towards him.

"Here, i think I might be onto something."

He took my sample and put it under the microscope.

"Oh my god... Achlys... You're a genius."

"Ah what can I say? I guess you rubbed off on me."

He looked back up at clock before coming back at me.

"You should probably go."

"Yeah I know. U coming too?" I asked while putting my jacket on.

"No, i will refine what you have found. Have fun and don't blow up a building."

"I can't promise that Vicky."

I closed the door and rushed to the garden. I suddenly caught Jinx from above me. Her legs above my shoulders, my hand supporting her by holding her ass and her hand around my neck pulling me in a kiss.

"Good morning Darling..." I whispered in between kisses.

"Good morning." She responded with a smile.

She got off of me and looked awfully excited.

"What is it?" I asked nonchalantly.

"I heard you had a surprise for me..." She said biting her lip.

"A surprise? No... I don't know what you're talking about..."

Her excitement slowly evaporated as she turned around. I grabbed her hand And slid the gift onto her finger before she could turn her back on me and waited for her reaction. She looked over her shoulder confused at first... Then her eyes made contact with the handmade ring around her finger.

"Are you kidding me??!!" She yelled and jumped around like a child.

She suddenly took my hand and slid a ring onto my finger too.

"I also made a ring?!!!"

We both bursted out laughing as we basically proposed to each other at the same time. She jumped into my arms and kissed me.

"I love you Achlys... Forever and always."

"Forever and always" i responded.
