She is alive.

The brief moment of seeing his beloved face made Zaid completely forgot that he was absentmindedly holding his crying sister until she got pulled away by her husband. Lost in the moment, nothing made sense.

"Zaid let's go."

Saeed's voice rang in his ears but he was numb until he felt surrounded by his men who dragged him along while keeping eyes open on the surrounding for any sign of danger.

She is so beautiful.

The elevator's chime brought him back in reality and he spotted his sister and brother-in-law being escorted by security. He rushed to his car, ready to leave this place but Saeed closed the door with a loud thud the moment he opened it. Anger or mostly panic flowed across his face.

"Are you in your right mind? You were practically a target. If the men didn't rush to your side then God forbid both you and Zaynah would have..."

He couldn't complete his words because Saeed accepted them more as a family than as a boss.

"I saw her." Zaid blurted out but the man couldn't decipher who. "Ishana, she is back."

The drive back home was purely silence except the wind being music of memories. She had pierced his soul, made him skeptical about people and love. She is all what he had ever wanted and now he was determined to find her at all costs.

The moment they arrived at his mansion, it was already midnight. Fireworks illuminated the dark sky, spreading its vivacious colour. Each one of them was unique sent to their sky bound destiny.

"You're bound to be mine and I will have you."

Zaid lifted his glass of wine to the sky as if making a toast and smiled. A genuine smile plastered on his face, enjoying New Year for the first time in a span of five years. His face light up like a little child rejoicing the colors of life.

A spark ignited at the moment just thinking of the future he once dreamt.

"She was in a waitress outfit so it means she has been working for me and no one knew." Zaid sat opposite of the man and dropped his glass in front of him causing the loud thud to echo as the fireworks finally died down spreading silence everywhere.

The manager of the hotel swallowed nervously and kept scanning the pages. Being kidnapped on a New Year while he was having a good time with his family is probably something that no one wants but time is crucial and Zaid didn't plan on wasting it. He kept on going through the files until he found the one of new recruits.

Saeed stood behind the man and observed him with a blank face until he saw the passport size photo of the girl. He snatched the paper and examined it with full vigor.

"Full name is Isabella Samah Azad and if I did my math correctly, she is three years younger than what Ishana would have been today."

Zaid wore a puzzled expression as this time he went through the paper. "Since when is she working at my hotel?"

"A week sir," the manger answered not understanding what was going on but the way Zaid was reading all the documents made chills run down his spine.

"How's that possible? These papers say she has lived here since birth and maintained only one address. Current student at a local college. This is absurd. Marital status: single."

Everything was conflicted like a ball of tangled yarn. His head spin taking in too much detail that wasn't logical. His proud frame slumped on the couch, eyes clearly going through exhaustion but he won't give up. Now that's she is at an arm's reach from him.

"Zaid you need to relax," Saeed advised; his face straighter than a poker player because Zaid clearly showed that he never moved on. He cannot move on.

"How can I...? This is not...How is this even possible?"

"Maybe she is an imposter."

"No, she can't be. It's Ishana. I can feel that it's her. It has to be her."

Anger flashed in his eyes, swirled in his mind, and controlled him fully. She is Ishana but too many things didn't coincide. The age, name, address, dressing style but Zaid latched on one option. It's his Ishana no matter what anyone says. Fate has already snatched her once now it's his turn to fight back.

"I want to meet her," he said, fully determined on his goal.
