Isabella couldn't stop laughing.

Her face twitched, her eyes filled with joy and she almost gasped for air making the people who were sitting on the swimming pool lounges beside wondered what could be the funniest joke or latest meme sent on her phone that she was disturbing their peaceful afternoon. But she was vacationing too, just alone.

Life-wrecker has already called for the fiftieth time. She loved seeing his lovely nickname appearing on her phone like a desperate man. By the time she decided to accept his call, the place was getting deserted as they need to get ready for tonight dinner.

"WHAT?"

"Do you know how many times I've called you?" He yelled so loud that she had to put the phone few centimetres away to prevent her eardrums from exploding. She let few seconds lapsed and brought the device to her ear again.

"My phone was on silent because I did not wish to be disturbed while I relax by the pool under the sun."

"Well meeting is already begun and you're the only one not here."

"But I'm having so much fun in Egypt."

"Egypt? Are you joking with me Isa? We are all in South Korea right now at Four Seasons."

She covered the phone speaker and giggled, knowing exactly her husband is about to look like a fool in a few instant. Placing the sunglasses back on her eyes, she laid her body on the chair like a cat or tigress in her case basking in the sunshine.

"I think I told Luis to take charge of today's meeting because I might be busy touring. Didn't my message reach you?"

"What are you talking about? He's the one who told me to call you because you aren't arriving."

"Oops guess him and me are on the same page. I'll ask him to send me an embarrassing picture of yours. Have fun Zaid."

"You're a bitch."

"And you are a cheater. Burn in hell."

She tossed her phone on the empty chair aside, the sound startling and probably announcing a cracked screen giving her another reason not to trust IPhones. His audacity completely ruined her mood. She breathed hard, digging her pointy nails into her palms. Not long enough, her drinks were placed on the table beside. She smiled.

"Thank you."

"You're welcome Isabella Tahir."

Hearing this name made her take a good look at the man who looked old enough to be the same age as her dead father except with scars on his cheek and he wore no waiters' uniform as well. But long gone were the days where she would feel intimidated by criminal looking strangers when the ones she considered her owns turned into backstabbing snakes. Innocent Isabella has been feeding the snakes with her own hand only to get bit at the most unexpected time.

"Who are you and how do you know my name?"

He smiled, placing her phone on the table and took a seat on the pool chair beside.

"My name is Jay Martinez and I hate liars."

"I didn't lie to you mate," Isabella said, curling her lips a little.

"I know but like people said the enemy of my enemy is my friend. In simple words we are both enemies of The Legends dear so it makes us friends. What do you say? Care to accept me in your group?"

Isabella stared at the man. Neither his eyes were going down on her one piece swimsuit that exposed cleavage nor did he attempt to flirt with her. It was strict business. Though he looked like someone who'll shiver at the sound of a gunshot, Isabella wasn't going to mind an old man where there are already hundreds of both genders and ages from twenty to seventy working for the darker side of the world on behalf of Seven League.

"You're welcome but you will have to answer a few questions honestly."

"I never lie, Isabella Tahir."

"It's Isabella Grayson. I presumed you are not aware of the latest facts. So how do you know my name and how are you an enemy of The Legends?"

Just like her he relaxed, sinking his body into the chair and stared at the pool. Isabella realized maybe it's a long story and she has all the time in the world to distract from the fact her husband just called her a bitch. Wait till we meet again, she thought, scheming against her husband began process in her mind.

"I was a prisoner of The Legends. They kept me alive instead of killing and tortured me every day in creative ways."

"What exactly did you do?" Isabella asked, meeting his eyes that still had normalcy in them.

"I was going to kill a murderer and a liar, I hated when she lied to me but I thought of having a little fun with her first. Her father arrived and prevented me from completing my task."

"A little fun huh and may I know how old might she have been?"

"She was a teenager."

The information caught her off guard but reality ticked her. She is the Queen of a mafia organization so it doesn't give her a place to judge a man who extended a hand of friendship despite his criminal records.

"You like your woman young I guess."

"Young and, dangerous like me but she can't be a liar. I hate liars." The sound of disgust didn't go unnoticed yet Isabella found herself rolling her eyes at this psychopath.

"You shared this information three times already Jay Martinez," she said and handed him one of the two glasses he brought for her. "Have this martini; you'll cool down for a while."

Isabella gave him a sympathetic smile and drowned the liquid down her throat. She slammed the glass down.

"I figured how you became their enemy but how did you know about me?"

"The Legends biggest enemy is the mafia group Seven League. They often talked about how close they can get yet there's always something that ended their mission. Either the person who was going to rat Seven League out died under mysterious circumstances or their info turned out wrong at the last minute. They were the one who targeted your father's car, thinking they have won until they found out he had a daughter who became the Queen of the Seven League but they have no proofs against you and neither have they caught you red-handed. They are helpless."

"Cheers to know and also I knew they are the one who have killed my father."

"Yet, you didn't do anything revenge and all?"

"No it was the old man's time to die. Who am I to prevent it from happening?"

"Double cheers," he said and Isabella felt she had found a long lost friend. In a weird way she found it comfortable to bond with a stranger who is a proud pedophile as well rather than the people she has spent a lifetime. At the moment a crazy idea crossed her mind.

"Will you come with me to Paris? I'd like you to meet someone who can find you a spot in the Seven League plus we can get inner info and use their weaknesses against them."

"I know precisely who the weakness is, my dear Isabella. But I escaped from The Legends recently. They must be out there looking for me."

"They didn't crown me Queen of Seven League for nothing. Prove your loyalty and I'll be your friend."
