"I thought your meeting in Manila was postponed," said Isabella though she could not hide her smile under the pretense of suspicion.

"Well it was until I received another call so I told the CEO that I am actually going to see a friend who lives in Palawan. I would already be in the area; I could catch up with him real quick. Can you stay with Akira until I arrive if possible? Do not let her out of your sight."

Isabella had never heard Adeel Malik so concerned before.

"Is something wrong because she seems perfectly fine to me?"

"Well Veer is getting married today."

"Oh they had history, didn't they," Isabella asked, she had never known until now.

"Not exactly but if you talk to Akira, she might open up to you but please keep her company."

"Okay, see you later."

She placed her mobile phone on the nightstand and slowly slipped down the silky scarf down her smooth straight hair, letting it hang on both sides of her neck. On the balcony she spotted Zaid opening his mouth while the nurse fed him his medicine.

"Have a nice day sir, I'll come by later," she said and nodded at Isabella.

"Excuse me; have you seen Akira because there are literally a hundred places she can be right now?"

Before the nurse could say anything, Zaid answered. "I saw her walking towards the beach in her surf suit about three hours ago and she has not yet returned. She's still probably there."

The nurse gave them their privacy. Isabella stood by the railing of the balcony observing their private beach except none could be seen surfing. It's already been five months since they have shifted near the capital of Palawan located to the southwest of Philippines and by them she meant Akira, Akil, Zaid, a doctor, a nurse, two maids and a watchman selected by Adeel Malik himself, the only man who knows and has make this possible.

"She will be back before lunch," he said.

"I think I'm going to look for her. Should I put on a movie for you or bring a book?"

"No, the weather is very good today. I'll stay here."

Isabella rolled his wheelchair in the shade, placed a bottle of water, cookies and fruits on the table beside just in case he might need them. She wore her sandals and stepped down the wooden stairs real quick, greeting the house attendants. Looking outside through the floor to ceiling window, she caught Akil taking off his shirt ready to swim in the pool.

Maybe he would know something, she thought.

"Akil," she called right before he would jump.

"Isabella, good morning," he greeted with a vibrant smile. Who would have thought two bitter enemies would share a home one day.
