Chapter 53 ~ A Heart To Heart

"If you hadn't woken up, Veer would have been ready for some brutal action with the gangster." Han reddened with pleasure upon hearing Akira laugh non-stop throwing her head back.

They all have been keeping a look on her all day long. First word she said was food so Han had brought in their early dinner around five in the evening in Akira's bedroom where he was sharing everything she missed during her deep slumber.

"What did Anisha say when she arrived at Yazzir Mansion pretending to be me?"

Han shook his head, his grin widening and mimicked Anisha. "Hey everyone, have a good lunch and Veer can you help me when you're done, I'm having a trouble on my phone?"

Akira can't believe the level of stupidity or obsession as she'd like to put in a more proper way of saying.

"She is still not over Veer and what did you say after she said that?"

"Veer said nothing except than looking at her in awe because you practically threaten him to stay away from you on the night of the Christmas Ball so I simply stand up and say Welcome to Yazzir Mansion, Anisha. Agents, lock her in a room."

Akira nodded with a tight smile not bothering to know about their reactions which must have been shock and disgust that followed afterwards since Yazzir family officially hating Anisha Jafry is a stale news.

"What happened during the rescue Akira mission?" She asked, placing her hands beneath her chin.

Han chuckled and popped another piece of shrimp in his mouth. "Your admirers were on site including your big brother."

"Wait, Arhaan but how and why? He saw Isabella, didn't he?"

"We were trying to keep everything discreet but somehow he found out that you've been kidnapped and volunteered to come with us. Ishana tried making him stay at home but he argued with her. Isabella stepped out of the villa; he was so shocked on seeing her face that he wasn't aware he was in the direct line of a gunshot by an old enemy Jay Martinez."

Akira's fork dropped on her plate, heart beats escalating at once.

"That's not-"

"He escaped few weeks ago and Adeel gave a special order that is not to let this news reach you and everyone who has been helping you out like me and the agents of The Legends present with us."

"Please tell me he is not here Han or I'm taking the next flight to London."

"He is dead. Veer killed him."

Her fingers trembled slightly as she glanced at Han who said it casually and continued to eat. Did he even hear what he just said? Akira froze, her eyebrows furrowed in misperception. The sound of his delicate munching was too loud and became the most annoying thing currently.

"You're in shock," he said, finished what he had in his mouth.

"Veer Yazzir killed someone and you're okay. Everyone is fine. Everything has been going normal, you say. How the fuck, Han?"

"Don't say that in front of Eshaan, he won't stop himself," he teased.

"I'm serious and slightly off topic but Eshaan do not want to see me because of Veer."

Han scratched the back of his neck and smiled almost timidly. "You're probably going to hate me but if you are so curious then listen. The day you were leaving Dubai, Veer came to meet you at the airport where you gave him two choices; his past or a future he never imagined. He chose the latter and worked as an undercover agent in the Middle East for The Legends."
