THIS STORY WAS UPLOADED TO SWOONREADS (FOR A BRIEF TIME) IN HOPES OF POSSIBLY BEING NOTICED AND PUBLISHED. WHILE IT DID NOT GET NOTICED IN THE MANNER I HOPED, I RECEIVED AMAZING FEEDBACK FROM THE READERS THERE;

CLARISSA ~ PART 1

I tried nitpicking these (first) three chapters--I really did. The only nitpick I could find was Aleia's reaction when she found out about the dimension, before they hid in a closet. You know that scene? I feel like she could have interrupted the prince's and her father's conversation faster going like "wait, what? did you just say?" instead of later on.

I'm curious though, is there a reason why all the names (or most of them) start with an A? It was a bit confusing for me to read a bunch of names that started with an A, even if some of these people (or Howlers) start with the same Letter. Another thing I'm curious about is that if her father knows that Susanne doesn't treat Aleia properly, why doesn't he divorce her? It's not like Aleia would miss the stepmother, anyway. Do people frown upon divorce there?

Overall, a great first three chapters! I feel like this book will be worth 5 stars all the way through and through. The romance is starting to sizzle and everything's starting to fall in place. Can't wait to read on!

CLARISSA ~ PART 2

I didn't even know that there would be a book two until the very end! Wow! Book two would be just as good, I bet. The thing is halfway before, the book is filled with action, humor, and the romance. After though, it seems a little like filler chapters. One of the reasons is the war: did you have to hold it out? I felt like the war could have came faster. They're talking about time and you show different POV's but the fact that nothing seems to be really happening doesn't leave the reader curious or tense. I feel like more obstacles or close calls could be added to keep that tension high :D

Another thing I found flat was the mother mystery, to be honest. I feel like you kept Aleia's mother a secret because it would cause some questions. I had to admit, I was curious at first, but in the end, I let it go because the main character seemed to let it go. She didn't seem to really care about her mother and what happened to her? That's the vibes I got. So maybe more thoughts?

The characters were wonderful and well-developed, though! I loved the different POV's throughout the story, and how it ended with somewhat a cliffhanger that had me screaming and wanting more haha :D Can't wait to read the next book (if and when it comes out soon)!

V. S. ARCHER - I really like it so far! I don't really see anything to change.

MUQI - Pacing, flow, and storyline has me hooked. Looking forward to continue reading!

H.L. ROBERTS - This is a particularly good book. It has somewhat of a slower start for me but has picked up rather quickly! Man... I loved the characters and the way unique way she portrayed them. I loved the world she built and the way she made it hard to book down! I haven't ever read a story quite like this one! I enjoyed the way she created each of the characters and made them unique.

NICOLA R. WHITE - I'm really enjoying this book so far! It seems to be a sci-fi re-telling of Cinderella, which didn't come across in the description. There are a few inconsistencies (hair colour changes, for example) but the writing is great and I am interested to see what happens next.

MISS MIDNIGHT - Fully invested, lol. Can't wait to find out what's going on. On we go.

MARY ROSE KREGER - I've enjoyed this story so far. It is fast-paced, easy to read, and kept my interest through all three chapters. I am curious to read more, without feeling confused about what's already happened, which can be a difficult feat for a sci-fi/fantasy writer to accomplish. I did notice a few POV changes within a single scene, usually told in Lord Brun's POV. Thanks for sharing. I look forward to reading more!
