An Absent Mind Adrift

55 21 23

My eyes asleep,

My mind awake. . .

My thoughts adrift,

On a voyage in the endless sea.

My eyelids feel dense,

Yet my thoughts are immense.

The time goes by,

In reply, sleep does not say goodbye.

Thoughts can toxify. . .

But they can also beautify!

Oh, the thoughts one could have,

As if they were an absent mind adrift. . .
