When The Sun Shines

36 10 11

I promise the sun will shine,

When I make you mine!

Ignore the rain,

Ignore the thunder.

My love for you,

Will never break asunder. . . !

The lightning is frightening.

This newfound knowledge,

For you enlightening.

Does this make me inviting?

For you to stop fighting,

And denying the attraction you have?

Does it make you want to protect me?

All I ask for,

Is a hug.

You want to know why?

Because you are my biggest drug.

It's winter. . .

You're mad at me,

No one knows why.

"Forgive her,"

Is what they say.

Yet you still stay away. . .

In front of your door.

Shivering and quivering,

My heart slowly withering.

Please reconsider,

And stop being so bitter!

I promise you,

The sun will shine.

I can't stop,

I will call you mine!

As of right now,

My determination is ready to bow. . .

At least tell me why. . .

The sun won't shine,

Why can't I make you mine?

Shout out to @LexyCoakley who suggested I write a poem including nature. It wasn't completely about nature, but I think this poem turned out well :)
