Poetry's Tale to Tell

There's a story in every breath.

A twist in every word.

What we say,

Is not always what we mean.

We know what we want,

Yet we make it so far out of,

Reach. . .

We all have made a speech,

Whether in our mind or aloud,

We all have something to preach.

Some louder than others,

But there's always something,

To beseech.

In each tale we read,

There's something to take.

And something to leave. . .

Each rhyme,

Brings an old memory from time.

Or reminds us of a past crime.

Whether big or small,

It's brought to the forefront of our minds.

What is it this poem tries to tell?

How is each poem connected?

When each one,

Has left us differently affected.

That's the thing with poetry. . .

It tells us something different,

Something from the writer's heart.

It shows us a story in their words.

And the story of different peoples hearts.

There's a story in each person.

Something to take and learn,

Something to leave and learn why.

That is. . .

Poetry's Tale to Tell

Now this is how the story should've ended from the start. But it was never too late for me to add this! With the rush of the wattys my poems became more rushed and while the previous ones I made sure were a good quality. The last one just didn't feel right. It wasn't the right ending. A while later like a couple weeks ago from when I posted this, I thought of this poem. Not the words just the title and the main idea of how it should go. It felt perfect. Next time I won't rush my ending for a competition I can always compete in next year.

But if I didn't rush I would've never felt the need to change the final poem. Which would've led me to not coming up with this one. So everything worked out in the end. I'm very happy with the final poem, I am leaving you all off on. I will make another poetry book eventually :) I already have a couple poems written for it. Right now I just want to focus on my fantasy book. Once I'm in a better spot there, I will publish my next poetry book!

I hope you all enjoyed this poem. And if you've made it here, I hope this poem was as enjoyable as all the other ones before. I don't want to make this note too much longer so I'll say this. Thanks for reading my book and watching me improve as a writer (At least I hope I have). I love you all so very much! <3<3<3
