Fighting Over Me

46 15 30

Fighting on the stairs,

Everyone stops and stares.

They stand and do nothing yet whisper,

Watching the violence unfold.

You told me I should stay out of trouble. . .

I know I should listen, but how can I standby,

And watch two buffoons both get a black eye?

Especially when one of them is you!

I'm sorry but I can not comply. . .

So I ran in the middle,

Getting punched in the process.

You both immediately digress and assess.

Guilt is in both of your eyes,

Yet you both don't see. . .

All this tension over me should left be!

I'm not worth the blood, sweat or tears. . .

You're brothers!

One possible lover should not get in the way!

It hurts to leave, but I know I must.

I may have liked one of you more. . .

But that doesn't mean my love should cause gore.

Goodbye, mi amor. . .

For my love only causes trouble and,

I'm not worth the struggle. . .
