The news was the thing that put my day into motion. To some people the news is great to know what was going on, for others, it brought the news of dread.
'Headlines today: the multiple military and police serving androids including the widely useful RK900 and being taken out of service'
It was lucky I didn't have something in my hand as I would have dropped it along with my jaw, Cole entered the room and analysed my state, like normal he was in his service uniform as we prepared to head into work "Y/N, what's happened?" He asked immediately "Cole, you can't go to work today" I replied as I heard his footsteps behind me, slowly coming towards me "why not" he asked, standing next to me "they are taking the RK900 out of service immediately, If I take you to work you might be detained" I told him and for once he didn't object "I'm sorry" was the only thing he said before holding my hand and after a moment, I walked away with our hands falling to our sides.

Walking through the main aisle of desks while keeping my head low was hard but overall it proved effective as my fellow officers casted me looks of sympathy at the loss of the Android. Like normal, I sat in my chair and looked out towards the desks, many of them were empty as our android patrol officers that operated overnight and early morning that were normally there to report anything suspicious had been taken away by the will of Cyberlife. I don't think my legs had gotten as much use since Cole had joined and brought me coffee each morning which I was thankful for but when I left him this morning, he forgot to remind me about the coffee. I stood up and exited my office, passing Hank's desk as he glanced and the pictures that surrounded his computer, I went into the break area to see Gavin and his friend Tina Chen standing by the table with coffee in their hands
"Well well we'll, Y/N L/N, I haven't seen you in a while" announced Tina as I raised my eyebrows in response "How's Cole?" Asked Gavin "Not in my life anymore" I responded instantly, not showing any kind of reaction to him "he was nicer than that plastic prick of Connor" he admitted as I glanced down "I wish I could tell him that, he would appreciate being noticed by high officers" I commented pressing buttons on the coffee machine "I wish we had real coffee" remarked Tina as I turned my back on the pair and watched the brown drink, drop into my cup "well if it isn't the plastic prick" commented Gavin, I continued looking at my coffee pouring before I picked it up and saw the taller android looming over me "Connor" I spat out as he lifted his head up "Yes Y/N" he responded politely "Let me warn you that I have a hot drink in my hand-" "and what are you going to do, Chuck it over me?" I froze and looked into his brown eyes "Consider it revenge for Cole" I growled "Yes how is he faring?" He asked with a smile, I glanced behind him to see Tina and Gavin looking at me "I hope you like the taste of coffee" I told him, throwing the coffee up into his face and running past him, kicking him in the back of the knee before running out of the break room hoping that Gavin and Tina could handle the situation
Connor status: Cold
I pushed open the department doors and looked left or right to decide where to go
Left: Y/N's house, Cole could be in danger of being taken by Connor
Right: Lieutenant Anderson's house, use his phone to contact Cole
I ran to the right. away from the police department and out of the city towards Michigan drive.
