XXVIII. Two Is Better Than One Part 1

Maulang gabi ulit! Kaya eto na ang update para sa inyo! hohoho! Salamat sa lahat ng nag-aantay at bumabasa nito. Pati sa mga nag-aadd nito sa reading list nila, thank you po talaga!

Pasensiya na po kasi ako'y nag-hahanap hanap ng totoong work, so hindi ako masyadong makabisita at makapag-update. Pero huwag mag-alala, habang may ulan, may pag-asa! Eto na, Chapter 28! :)

***Vince's POV***

"Anong problema?" Tanong ni Dawn sa akin.

"Nakita na si Minerva Villanueva." I paused and looked at them. "She's dead."

Halatang nagulat silang dalawa sa sinabi ko. Dawn dropped whatever she's holding and Red just stood there frozen. Yeah, another dead student. Another death inside Monte Carlo premises.

While I was downstairs, Principal Abad called me at sinabing pumunta ako sa Dorm gates. Agad akong pumunta doon at nangilabot ako sa nakita ko. Ang dahilan ng malakas na pagsabog kanina kaya nawalan ng kuryente. Hindi ko kayang titigan ng matagal iyon kaya't tinignan ko na lang ang mga taong nasa Dorm gates-- si Principal Abad, si Miss Jade, ang iba pang Level Representatives, ang Security ng Monte Carlo at ang mga Pulis at Paramedics.

Lumakad ako palapit kay Miss Jade at nagtanong, "Anong nangyari? Paano nangyari ito?" I waved my hand towards the fence's direction. Hindi ko talaga kayang tumingin doon muli. Babangungutin ako, for sure.

"The Security came here right away nung narinig nila yung pagsabog. Turned out, ito pala yung dahilan, kaya din nag-brownout." She informed me. She's Miss SC President now and not the Miss Jade that I knew.

"Who would do such a thing? At saka nasaan si--"

"We don't know. All they saw was her. Mahirap gumalaw sa ganitong panahon at sa ganitong sitwasyon na walang kuryente." She motioned me and the other three Level Representatives to huddle in a corner. "The authorities will do their part on this at hindi sila titigil hangga't hindi ito nalilinis. Tell everyone to stay inside their dorm rooms at huwag munang lumabas ng Dorms. Principal Abad already announced na walang pasok bukas habang nag-iimbestiga pa."

"How about food, Miss Jade?" Asked the First Year Representative.

"I will talk to the Cafeteria staff later para magdala na lang ng food sa mga Dorms."

"Parang rasyon? Para tayong nasalanta ng bagyo nito, ah. Miss Jade, ano ba'ng nangyayari sa school natin?" The Sophomore Representative asked in a shaky voice. Halatang natatakot siya sa nangyayari. Well, everyone's afraid now. May mga nagka-barilan, may namatay in a mysterious way at may isa pa'ng nawawala. What really is happening to Monte Carlo?

"I can't answer that now, Phillip. Hindi kami pwedeng magsalita hanggang hindi kami sigurado. Ang importante ngayon, mapangalagaan natin ang mga estudyante."

"What happened to her? Who did this to her? That's so not human!" Hindi ko na napigilang mag-tanong.

"We cannot comment on that yet, Vincent." Si Principal Abad ang sumagot sa akin. "What we need from you is to cooperate with us and do what I say. This is for your own safety. We are doing our job, do yours." All of us nodded and she walked away with one of the Policemen on her trail.

"Remember: No classes tomorrow and food will be served on your Dorms' ground floor. No one goes out until we are advised." Miss Jade looked at me before dismissing the huddle. I just stood there while the others left and went back to the Dorms to tell about the horrific thing that happened.

"Miss Jade." I called her nang wala nang naiwan dun kundi ang mga pulis at paramedics. She walked closer to me and exhaled heavily bago nagsalita.
