Dedicated to Eliff24 for being awesome and actually going back to the last chapter he/she read to comment on it, hours after he/she read it!

I quickly jumped out of Derek's car and walked to the front door. I heard Derek drive away as I unlocked the door.

Please don't be Stiles. Please don't be Stiles. Please don't be Stiles. He'll kill me.

I opened the door as silently as possible and hoped for a miracle.

"Liz..." Stiles began.

Ah fuck.

"Hi." I said awkwardly as I closed and locked the door.

"Do you know what time it is?"

"Uh... 2 AM?" I guessed while silently praying that it was earlier than possible.

"It's 4:17." He said as he unlocked his phone to show me.

"Well actually it's 4:18-" Stiles gave me a death glare "Right, uh... Sorry?"

"And we have a test tomorrow!"

Well technically today, I thought. "I'll be fine. I'm good at chemistry. You should be worrying about your grade. What are you still doing up?"

"Well... I was worried." He mumbled quickly "But that's not the point!" He scratched his neck and yawned. "Just text me next time. Or let Derek text me like he did last Saturday."

"He texted you?"

"Yeah." He said while scrolling through his apps. "He said that you were with him and that you were really tired and fell asleep." Stiles said and showed me his phone.

"Oh." Was my genius answer.

"So I heard you weren't home until 4 yesterday." Lydia said with an evil grin.

I rubbed my eyes. I loved staying up. The night was my favorite part of the day. But the burning feeling under my eyes and the pounding in my head was taking its toll on me. It also doesn't help when you keep waking up from nightmares, which I had daily. "I might've."

"What were you doing until 4 AM?" Allison asked me.

I leaned against the lockers next to Lydia's. "I was with Derek."

"Oooh." Lydia said teasingly and with full attention "and?"

"And what?" I asked back while stifling a yawn.

Lydia looked at me like it was the most logical thing in the world. "Is he good in bed?"

"Wha- No we haven't done that!"

They both stared at me with one raised eyebrow. "Really?" Lydia asked disbelieving "What did you do till 4 AM?"

"Just-"

The bell rang, deafening me in the progress. Usually we wouldn't pay much attention to it since you still have 5 minutes to get there, but this time we had the chemistry test and I've learned not to be anywhere near late with that guy.

We said our good-lucks to each other and I sat in my place. Stiles and Scott sat in front of me and it looked like Stiles was giving Scott a very late and quick crash course. In the corner of my eye, I could see Isaac leaning back with a smug grin on his face. He looked like he'd studied or that he'd given up and just didn't care.

I decided to lay my head on the table to pass the time. It was always a great feeling to close your eyes when you're tired. The burning feeling temporarily goes away.

"Liz, even though I am overwhelmed with joy that you could join us, I recommend you stay awake if you want to have a shot at a decent grade." Mr Harris said mockingly with a voice dripping with sarcasm.

"I am awake, sir." I replied and slowly lifted my head.

He glared at me for talking back and handed me the tests. I groaned inwardly and stood up. Both Allison and Isaac smiled apologetically when I handed them a test. The others hadn't seem to heard it.

When I was finally done I slumped back in my chair. I might've overestimated my abilities to stay awake, I thought as I fought to keep my eyes open.

"You may begin."

I opened the test and stared at the first question.

Which of these elements is not a noble gas?

Helium
Chlorine
Krypton
Argon

So they begin easy. I grabbed my pencil and drew a circle around the second one; Chlorine.

Which of the following elements is a nonmetal?

Sulfur
Manganese
Aluminum
Beryllium

Uh... I knew this at one point in my life... Well, beryllium and aluminum are definitely metals. I've no idea what manganese is... I think sulfur. Let's go for sulfur.

I heard the door open but I decided to focus in my test. Some vaguely familiar smells reached my nose but I ignored it.

All organic molecules contain:

Carbon only
Carbon and nitrogen
Carbon and hydrogen
Carbon, hydrogen and oxygen

Oh god. This is not good, I thought while yawning. What is an organic molecule? I quickly translated it to dutch. Wait, I do know this answer! Carbon and hydrogen!

"Liz." Mr Harris said. "It's for you."

What? I looked up at the door.

No, this can't be true.
