Why did you choose to cover this song?

I chose this song because of the brilliance in Lady Gaga's voice and how much her voice touches me. I listened to this song so many times when my baby brother was small because it was his go-to serenade, and really, the song is so beautiful and I really enjoy challenging myself to meet her vocal standards.

What does music mean to you?

I have been playing the violin for a while now, and firstly, just listening to the sound of my instrument takes me to my own little world of music. I write poetry and novels, (check out my original, Reputation on my profile!) and have just recently dipped into songwriting. But really, music is my body-less therapist. I go to music to relax, to hype, to dance, to cry. Even when my mind gets to me, I know I can rely on music to keep myself sane, haha.

What do you love about performing?

I am always singing. I sing in the shower, at the grocery store, at school, walking home... I sing everywhere! I love people and live for entertainment and wanting to please others, and I do it by sharing my musical talents through talent shows and church choirs. (My mom even has an old video of me singing Alicia Keys on my plastic keyboard over ten years ago.)

Who/what are your major artistic influences?

Ooh, this is kinda hard. I'd say Billie Eilish, Alicia Keys, Kelly Clarkson, and Miley Cyrus mostly because of their voices. Ironically, my Vocal Playlist mainly consists of them and a few country singers like Carrie Underwood and Pistol Annies, but really, anyone who I can meet, vocally speaking, I think has motivated me the most.
